"Another question: What was the reaction of the Kosovo politicians which are so proud of their 'independent state' when they heard that 'Kosovo is Turkey'?"

what a question! there's an undertone to this, you're trying to assert that we're happy to be called a part of Tureky (there was condemnation of the his comments in Kosova, and to be fair to Mr Erdogan, Turkish officials have now said that he was misquoted and mistranslated). as for independence in quotation marks, its much more independent than it is a part of Serbia, and for one reason or another, that seems to kill you inside, but hey, not my problem

Huh??

I am Albanian and can not agree more with the Serbian vice PM. Whatever Serb and Albanian conflict might be there is no room there for these types of declarations. In fact this was considered and insult for majority of Albanians in and outside Kosova. One has only to read the reaction in the Albanian press or follow the polls and tv shows to believe this. Turkey is welcome in Albania as an ally and a friendly nation but not like this, never. 500 years have taught us better.

What else do you expect from islamist Erdogan? He's living in illusions and seems to think he's a reborn pasha of the Osman empire. You know, the democracy is only the train he was jumping on to establish an islamist theocracy in Turkey. And surely he would like to add some more land to this new empire.

Another question: What was the reaction of the Kosovo politicians which are so proud of their 'independent state' when they heard that 'Kosovo is Turkey'?

Whether Albanians want to admit it or not, Kosovo was Serb land and the Ottomans came to conquer it
(Aleks, 25 October 2013 19:29)

Albanians have no problem to admit that because going down that path raises the issue that time did not start when Kosovo became Serb land and Serbs also came to conquer it from X, and X came to conquer it from Y, and Y came to conquer it from Z... and so on to the beginning of life in Kosovo. Albo Troll Wrangler,

If you are interested in facts , just google the topic, or ask for help. Please don't put words in my mouth. I never mention Albanians contributing to the world, just modern Turkey. Although this is out of topic, it's true that many famous and important Albanians never contributed to their own country. It's not a secret that while Albanian nation remained vital in centuries, for some reason lacked the ability to form a viable State. Those reasons are still topic of conversation, and include geographical, historical, geopolitical , political and cultural factors. As far as Albanian under Hoxha, what do you really know? I lived under him and I am still trying to understand ...

I don't know why such a fuss is being risen from this. The fact the Turkey supports Kosovo and has territorial pretensions is nothing new. After all, they did rule over Serbia for 400 years. I'm glad that Nikolic canceled his trilateral meeting.

repeating something does not make it happen. But if spoken in the name of the God of Israel, and the Son, in the Spirit, then it cannot fail. As Christ said,Matthew 7:7,'But when you pray, use not vain repititions, as the heathen,..' Isaiah 11:11,prophesies of the restoration of Israel "from the four corners of the earth". This happened in 1948.

That is unacceptable behavior in international relations and it needs to be seen how other countries will react. The statement of Erdogan only shows the real intentions of some countries in our surroundings, especially Turkey. Many politicians are hidden behind nice words, but it takes emotions to start working, to understand what interests are hiding behind the scenery.

Aleks

Serbia needs to get her head out of her rear end and quit trying to have these close ties with Turkey. You can have friendly relations, mutual respect, but no need to get close. This is the same Turkey that Serbia tried to give Jat to, and almost did. They wanted Nikola Tesla airport and over played their hand. Thanks goodness it didn't happen. Quit allowing Turkey to buy up so much of Serbia. It's pure stupidity, have some common sense.

After all of the atrocities and punishment the Turks/Ottoman Empire inflicted on Serbia for over 500 years, they then come out with statements like this today? They tried so hard to wipe out Serbia from existence and their 500 year campaign ultimately filtered down to many of the problems we have today in the Balkans. Here they are again making the statement that Kosovo is Turkey and Turkey is Kosovo, back again after they were kicked out, making what is an inciteful statement. Whether Albanians want to admit it or not, Kosovo was Serb land and the Ottomans came to conquer it...they didn't fight Albanians for that land, they fought Serbs. If it was Albanian land, why would they fight Serbs for it? Why would Serbs defend it? Eh, rational facts won't matter, I'll be thumbed down by their propaganda machine and 'Illyrian facts' LOL.

I would love to see the reaction if Germany came out and said Poland is Germany, and Germany is Poland...wonder how that would go over.

And considering he's had a bad 2013, what with an uprising in his country that may unseat him in the next elections, a failed attempt at getting NATO to invade Syria, and repeated concessions to the last remaining ethnic minority in Turkey strong enough to destabilize the entire country, a little tongue in cheek statement made to a pack of slavishly dependent Albanian officials in Prizren is not going to change the political landscape of the Balkans, nor does it indicate Turkey is making moves on Kosovo. There is clearly a close relations between both nations, with a large Albanian population in Turkey due to ethnic cleansing in Kosovo, and population exchanges with Greece in the end of 19th beginning of 20th century. Albanian have contributed to founding of Modern Turkey with many intellectuals . It is not clear why you felt the need to use the word "odd" (not to mention the "good idea" part) but it is fine since it is obvious that you dont really know what you are talking about. turkey is out of the balkans (actually they were kicked out to asia) so why should someone feel the need to get rid of someone who is not even there is beyond my understanding. there is a certain amount of Turkophobia in the Balkans, which is understandable given the Ottoman past. I do not like the statement that Kosova is Turkey or for that matter that Tureky is Kosova, because well, they just aren't. What is a bit naive however, is that people in the Balkans have this odd view that ostracising Turkey is possible, or even a good idea. Tureky is a truly powerful country, its influence is wide reaching and many economists predict that within 40 years, it will overtake Germany in economic terms. Its not a good idea to be on bad terms with a country that powerful.
As for Vulin demanding an apology, I really doubt he'll get one. To say Kosova is Turkey is factually wrong, as factually wrong as saying Kosovo je Srbije :-)

It appears as if poor Erdogan is going around trying to sell his country to poor and uneducated people telling them what they want to hear. This is funny. What is even more funny is that these uneducated people actually believe that this Erdogan character is there to help them!

Fact is that kosovo is not turkey. Soon, turkey will see its Kurdish part being removed or getting an autonomy. Kosovo is a good choice to say this kind of stupidities because albanians have always had complexes of inferiority, poor education and due to the fact that they are lazy - always in need of a "sponsor".

What mr erdogan knows well is that it is different trying to turn turkey into Iran, and it is different having a psychological problem and a serious detachment from reality. Poor erdogan, people were hoping that his serious illness would had led him to become more down to earth. Instead, he has completely lost touch with planet earth.

Anyway, no one really cares what an asian country like turkey sais, Erdogan might as well declare thailand as turkey. In fact, i think he should - we all need someone to make us laugh in this hard period of time.

I am a Turk and I can confirm that all Turks love Albanians and Bosnians, and will never let this region fall to murderous Serbs again. Allah korusun.

@Avni

Strange how you Kosovo Albanians feel compelled to keep coming to Serbian portals and repeat how Kosovo is independent from Serbia. Almost like you're trying to convince someone.

"Serbs are funny sometimes. They forget that Kosovo is not Serbia nor Turkey. Kosovo is Albania."
(Avni, 25 October 2013 12:32)

And Albanians are even more funny sometimes. They are so proud of the 'independent Kosovo', and still they think Kosovo is Albania. Schizophrenic, isn't it?

"Another question: What was the reaction of the Kosovo politicians which are so proud of their 'independent state' when they heard that 'Kosovo is Turkey'?"

what a question! there's an undertone to this, you're trying to assert that we're happy to be called a part of Tureky (there was condemnation of the his comments in Kosova, and to be fair to Mr Erdogan, Turkish officials have now said that he was misquoted and mistranslated). as for independence in quotation marks, its much more independent than it is a part of Serbia, and for one reason or another, that seems to kill you inside, but hey, not my problem

About the last commnt(16:48pm)
repeating something does not make it happen.

All this noise about a comment is really for domestic consumption as Serbian politicians know. 105 countries have recognized Kosovo as a country they all have slapped Serbia in the face and told them your constitution is not valid.

Hope you will not need another loan soon ...!

Albanians have no problem to admit that because going down that path raises the issue that time did not start when Kosovo became Serb land and Serbs also came to conquer it from X, and X came to conquer it from Y, and Y came to conquer it from Z... and so on to the beginning of life in Kosovo. Unless the first form of life is Kosovo was Serbian, I'm not sure what we do with this discovery, but I hope at lest it satisfies your curiosity!

Bring the Serbian ambassador back to Serbia.

I don't know why such a fuss is being risen from this. The fact the Turkey supports Kosovo and has territorial pretensions is nothing new. After all, they did rule over Serbia for 400 years. I'm glad that Nikolic canceled his trilateral meeting.

Huh??
