CIA Diretor George Tenet and his family immigrated to Greece before Enver Hoxha took over the country.

Ask anyone who visited his MOTHER'S home in Queens,New York what language she felt most comfortable having a conversation in..............

She spoke Albanian and was born in ALBANIA.

His brother is a Doctor that had been discriminated by a Serb superior at a Queens Hospital and after having enough ..............the SERB........ was "mysteriousl" ... :) removed .........JUST LIKE THAT.........

well Peggy, since you're now engaging in speculation (how do you know what most Poles think?) i am going to do the same. Most Poles, just like most people around the world, I'm sure don't even know what Kosova is, never mind where it is. same for people in Brazil, China, India. the attitude is most likely one of indifference

Peggy

Nikolle, you know as well as I do that Australia is nothing more than a servant of the US along with many of the countries which have recognized "Kosova". These P!$$y little countries (not talking about Australia now) will do as they are told or as in some instances as they are bribed to. Doesn't make your argument stronger.
I was actually talking about most of the people of this world. We all know that in most cases people are not even consutled but dictated to. I am sure if you ask the Poles if they agree with what their government did they would say no as would many others.
Also, what about powerful countries like China and Russia. BRICS are a strong block and they haven't recognized you.

You are dismissing a lot of people here. So, not too far from now you will see a change.

Nikolle

pre 10 godina

actually Peggy, more states accept Kosova independence than do not, so we have the majority of UN members on our side. so if we go by majority rule, independence is legal. if we go by UN high court opinion, independence is legal. what you're trying to enter into is the realms of philosophy, kinda like what Jeremic did after the UN court voted pro declaration, he asked whether declaration brings about statehood. this is what you're doing as well. if a UN seat is what makes one a state, then you're right, Kosova is not a state. but the UN is a relatively new institution, Kosova possesses all stately attributes, its own laws, passports, police etc etc. they're far from perfect, but they exist outside Serbia's jurisdiction, which why the heavenly people have their knickers in a twist. and no you're wrong Peggy, it isn't only the 'evil' and 'bully' US that says Kosova is independent, its most of the EU, Japan, Canada pretty much all of the Western Hemisphere including your beloved Australia too. its those that don't accept independence that are in a minority

Peggy

pre 10 godina

In case of such a conflict, it counts who has actually control over the territory and does have that control legally.
======================================
So what makes it legal?
The fact that the US says so? What exactly makes your independence legal?
If most of the world doesn't agree with you and the UN hasn't accepted you as a country you can't say you have the law on your side.
You have the US on your side but that only means that the big bully is protecting you and might makes right.
Wait till the bully either tires of you or loses his power.
It'll happen.

You can't cross the border illegally into your own province. I know you claim it's not Serbia and you have countries supporting you but what about what Serbia says and the countries which support Serbia? They don't count?
(Peggy, 26 October 2013 07:39)

In case of such a conflict, it counts who has actually control over the territory and does have that control legally.

Serbia can claim tomorrow that Zimbabwe is Serbia (and probably write that in the constitution, too); it doesn't necessarily follow that Vulin will be free to enter Zimbabwe, because Zimbabwe actually still controls the Zimbabwean territory and does so legally.

If only the 'Kosovo authorities' would be so eager to persecute other criminal acts as well like drug dealing, election faking, corrupt politicans, human trafficking, killing of Serbs and other ethnically motivated violence.

But they prefer to persecute 'illegal border crossing', 'wearing T-shirts with Cyrillic letters' or 'waving Serbian flags' and other severe crimes committed in the independent dream state of Kosovo.

Just read the above headline, and it tells you what Serbia thinks of over 90% of Kosova and less than 10% of northern Mitro area. It is a living proof that; Kosova has been lost for ever, and Serbia is trying hard to claim the northern part, which is very small portion and not even the so called "cradle of Serbia". Serbs are a very funny lot, to say the least. I laugh my ass of every day when I read headlines as such.

NATO allowed the KLA, which under the terms of United Nations Resolution 1244 was to be disarmed after the end of the bombing, to keep its weapons. The KLA was renamed the Kosovo Protection Force and been given the task of maintaining peace and security in Kosovo. How well it has been able to carry out this task is summed up in a report dated Feb. 26, 2001, to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan, which accuses the protection corps of widespread acts of murder, torture and extortion.

That condemnation should not have come as a surprise. As early as 1998, the U.S. State Department listed the KLA as a terrorist organization financing its operations with money from the international heroin trade and funds supplied from Islamic countries and individuals, including Osama bin Laden. This did not stop the United States from arming and training KLA members in Albania and in the summer of 1998 sending them back into Kosovo to assassinate Serbian mayors, ambush Serbian policemen and intimidate hesitant Kosovo Albanians. The aim was to destabilize Kosovo and overthrow Serbian strongman Slobodan Milosevic.

The PDK, led by Hashim Thaci, former Kosovan Liberation Army commander, took control of many municipalities after the war. The party has close links with organized crime in the province. (The Observer, 29 October 2000)

Mr. Thaci, nicknamed “the Snake” during his KLA days, is a sharp-suited 32-year-old former rebel commander with poor oratory skills, links to organized crime and a determination to preserve relations between his party and the United States (The Scotsman, 20 October 2000)

I know a terrorist when I see one and these men are terrorists,” (US Special Envoy and Ambassador Robert Gelbard)

“The KLA [formerly headed by Hashim Thaci] is tied in with every known Middle and Far Eastern drug cartel. Interpol, Europol, and nearly every European intelligence and counter-narcotics agency has files open on drug syndicates that lead right to the KLA,…” (Michael Levine former official of the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA))

Hashim Thaci founded the “Drenica-Group” an underground organization that is estimated to have controlled between 10% and 15% of all criminal activities in Kosovo (smuggling arms, stolen cars, oil, cigarettes and prostitution).

Daniel

pre 10 godina

The US, the EU and the UN are supporting a Kosovo government headed by a known criminal, Prime Minister Hashim Thaci.

The position of Prime Minister was created under the “Provisional Institutions of Self-Government (PISG)” established by the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK)

Under UN mandate, the purpose of the provisional government was “to provide ‘provisional, democratic self-government’ in advance of a decision on the political status of Kosovo.

What this signifies is that the United Nations has not only set the stage for an “Independent” Kosovo government in violation of international law, it has also installed a Kosovo government integrated by the members of a criminal syndicate. All three Kosovo Prime Ministers, Ramush Haradinaj, Agim Ceku and Hashim Thaci are war criminals.

Daniel

pre 10 godina

The links of the KLA to organized crime have been documented by Interpol and the US Congress. The Washington Times in an article published in May 1999 describes the KLA and its links to the Clinton administration as follows:

Some members of the Kosovo Liberation Army [headed by the current Kosovo Prime minister Hashim Thaci] , which has financed its war effort through the sale of heroin, were trained in terrorist camps run by international fugitive Osama bin Laden — who is wanted in the 1998 bombing of two U.S. embassies in Africa that killed 224 persons, including 12 Americans.

The KLA members, embraced by the Clinton administration in NATO’s 41-day bombing campaign to bring Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic to the bargaining table, were trained in secret camps in Afghanistan, Bosnia-Herzegovina and elsewhere, according to newly obtained intelligence reports.

The reports also show that the KLA has enlisted Islamic terrorists — members of the Mujahideen –as soldiers in its ongoing conflict against Serbia, and that many already have been smuggled into Kosovo to join the fight. ….

The intelligence reports document what is described as a “link” between bin Laden, the fugitive Saudi millionaire, and the KLA –including a common staging area in Tropoje, Albania, a center for Islamic terrorists. The reports said bin Laden’s organization, known as al-Qaeda, has both trained and financially supported the KLA. (Washington Times, May 4, 1999

I expect noting to come of this. In few days both Vucic and Vulin will come to Kosovo and Metohia. Lets see if they get arrested.

OK, so go ahead. Issue that warrant and arrest him.
I won't be holding my breath.

You can't cross the border illegally into your own province. I know you claim it's not Serbia and you have countries supporting you but what about what Serbia says and the countries which support Serbia? They don't count?
Wait and see what the future brings.

In case of such a conflict, it counts who has actually control over the territory and does have that control legally.
======================================

Serbia can claim tomorrow that Zimbabwe is Serbia (and probably write that in the constitution, too); it doesn't necessarily follow that Vulin will be free to enter Zimbabwe, because Zimbabwe actually still controls the Zimbabwean territory and does so legally.

Peggy

well Peggy, since you're now engaging in speculation (how do you know what most Poles think?) i

Actually I have spoken to some and corresponded with some and they say so.
Have you been in tough with any?
I have Polish friends as well.

Authorities in south KM investigate Vulin

Just read the above headline, and it tells you what Serbia thinks of over 90% of Kosova and less than 10% of northern Mitro area. It is a living proof that; Kosova has been lost for ever, and Serbia is trying hard to claim the northern part, which is very small portion and not even the so called "cradle of Serbia". Serbs are a very funny lot, to say the least. I laugh my ass of every day when I read headlines as such.

don't you know the former CIA Director was George Tenet ,a very distinguished Albanian that was of great service to America fighting TERRORISTS.
(azir, 25 October 2013 22:42)

George Tenet is an ethnic Greek.

actually Peggy, more states accept Kosova independence than do not, so we have the majority of UN members on our side. so if we go by majority rule, independence is legal. if we go by UN high court opinion, independence is legal. what you're trying to enter into is the realms of philosophy, kinda like what Jeremic did after the UN court voted pro declaration, he asked whether declaration brings about statehood. this is what you're doing as well. if a UN seat is what makes one a state, then you're right, Kosova is not a state. but the UN is a relatively new institution, Kosova possesses all stately attributes, its own laws, passports, police etc etc. they're far from perfect, but they exist outside Serbia's jurisdiction, which why the heavenly people have their knickers in a twist. and no you're wrong Peggy, it isn't only the 'evil' and 'bully' US that says Kosova is independent, its most of the EU, Japan, Canada pretty much all of the Western Hemisphere including your beloved Australia too. its those that don't accept independence that are in a minority

Nikolle

pre 10 godina

well Peggy, since you're now engaging in speculation (how do you know what most Poles think?) i am going to do the same. Most Poles, just like most people around the world, I'm sure don't even know what Kosova is, never mind where it is. same for people in Brazil, China, India. the attitude is most likely one of indifference
