I never seen Croats from Serbia attempt to breakaway and form their own government or send mortars towards Serbians town and villages. Or even kill and destroy. Please Sreten think before you make silly comments.

I wonder why that is. Could it be that they are treated with respect and friedship? Maybe they feel very safe in Serbia and appreciate it?
Maybe Serbian way of life has had a positive influence on them and they don't behave like their brethren across the border.

@Sreten "I'm glad to see that Croat minority in Serbia has all the rights and is working on preservation of their culture, heritage and language, as it was always the case. If Croatia treated Serbs in the same way Croats in Serbia were treated, we would never had a problem".

What a wonderful idea to have the two people living in peace but Crotia has far too many Lenards and that is not going to change.
While Serbia was always ready for forgive and forget (WW2 horrors), Croatians have proven that they will bite hand of friendship every time.
We all know the definition of insanity and Serbia is a prime example.
Keep offering the other cheek and Croatians will not only slap it but punch it.
No Croatian has paid the price of inflicting horror on Serbs. Until that happens it's not possible to move on. Plenty of Serbs have paid the price and the ones in the top job too so let's see if Gotovina stops being a hero.

It's easy to start fresh when all the guilty have been punished. Try it when they are still enjoying the freedom and celebrity.

@Lenard.....Poor Lenard, here he goes again. Such a hate for Serbs will give him major hart attack. What are we going to do without him, who will be spewing hate and lies when he is gone.

Serbia and Croatia have to take care of their citizens, whether they are Serbs, Croats or any other nationality. Relation between the two countries are burdened by many problems, specially the issue of missing people. I hope that this visit is a signal of good will both sides to solve the problems.

I'm glad to see that Croat minority in Serbia has all the rights and is working on preservation of their culture, heritage and language, as it was always the case. If Croatia treated Serbs in the same way Croats in Serbia were treated, we would never had a problem.
But, it is time to put our problems behind. Some of them will be very difficult to overcome.

"Josipović and Nikolić said yesterday in Belgrade that relations between the two countries experienced some progress, but were still burdened by a set of problems, including the issue of missing persons and mutual genocide lawsuits. "

I can see few more, and very serious ones, too. All the relevant court rulings are there including from European court in Strasbourg - issue of return of private and socially owned properties.
Croatia confiscated property of Serbian companies in Croatia, and privately owned properties of Croatian Serbs and Serbian citizens in Croatia (such as cottages, etc.). Serbia confiscated properties of Croatian companies.
While Serbia made some progress, and returned most properties back to original owners, there is still some with estimated value of 200 million US. Croatia made no progress, and it's hard to see how will they considering that property they should return is estimated at 45 Billion US.
Another issue is pensions. Croats receiving their pensions from Serbia, but much larger number of Serbs from Croatia, who now reside in Serbia are not getting them.
There is long way to go.

Ivo has now seen how civilized people behave.
(Jeff, 17 October 2013 10:25) Yes Croatians are civilised even in troubeled Vojvodina tell us something we don't know. That is why millions of tourist visit beautiful Croatia. It is averaging 5% growth http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbdyeayzWBA year over year in every catagory. Most of the increase of visits are due to vacationers telling their freinds how wonderfull Croatia by word of mouth. To bad Serbs had to leave the Croatian paradise. Like our parents the garden of Eden eons ago.

Nikolić told at a joint press conference that the withdrawal of the lawsuits would establish "complete peace between the two countries and two peoples, because whatever the outcome of the trial, some will not be satisfied."

Josipović said that resoling a number of problems, among which he highlighted the issue of the 1,689 persons missing from the war, was the condition for "resolving relations between Zagreb and Belgrade." Ask the chetnik Tomislav http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPDpN6xiQiE where are the missing he knows he was in Croatia 1990's. He was in Croatia burning ,pillaging ,murdering etc. Even the facist chetniks murdered Serbs that did not want to join the Serbian war criminals in Croatia and dozens other nationaleties http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Vukovar . Serbia is so desperate to drop the law suits because its guilty.
