What you overlook, Rocky, is that the Albanian population nonetheless grew under Serb rule and that Albanians were coming from Albania into Kosovo.

Albania's population is the one that really fell - look at it from the year 1989 until 2000. Albanians were leaving Albania in droves for jobs in Greece and abroad.

In Kosovo, some Albanians left to not be conscripted in the army in the early 1990's. Meanwhile, others left to set up drug and weapons networks for their planed uprising.

Albanians were never loyal despite all the Serbian tax money and developmental funds for Kosovo.

Kosovo Albanians still sabotaged equipment (at the electricity plants, for instance) to cause problems and waste money.

Do you mean during 1998/99 when Serbia violated international law by illegaly deporting over one million Kosovars?
