I'll agree with you when you show evidence that any of the people in the video was celebrated...

Yeah well in normal countries criminals get arrested and not celebrated like heroes like you celebrated the ones doing this or maybe you can tell me what punishment they got?Thats right, nothing. Goes to show how civilized you cavemen are, and yet you have the guts to claim that these are albanian churches and monesterys.

Icj I bet that those albanians that did this [link] are orthodox right?. Just another try of albanians to take over what is not theirs but soon they will claim that the Decani monestery is albanian aswell just like they claim everything that is serbian to be theirs. Telekom for instance.
(Daniel, 10 October 2013 19:45)

If you are interested, feel free to ask the people in the video what they are (Serbs, Albanians, Roma, Muslims, Catholic, Orthodox, or whatever)...

If anybody goes and damages any church in Belgrade, I'm certainly not going to loose my sleep over whether that person is Orthodox or not, Serb or not, etc. For me is simply a criminal.

As for the Telekom, according to International Law, it is Kosovo's.... Sorry dear, it is International Law that runs Kosovo, not Serbia's Law.

No, this would be beyond ridiculous, even a blind man can see that these are orthodox churches and monasteries.
(Comm. Parrisson, 8 October 2013 11:13)

Yep, I agree... There are a lot of Albanians who are orthodox like their Serb neighbors.

It's not that Kosovo is calling it "Albanian" heritage... That would have certainly been a concern!
(icj1, 8 October 2013 06:35)

I’ve seen many Albanians posting here that these churches and monasteries are really Albanian which were taken over by the Serbs hundreds of years ago.
Don’t kid yourself, given the chance your lot would take ownership of these structures. Can you imagine down the track tourist arriving there and the first question they ask is who built these churches? If you answer it’s Serbian then where are the Serbs now? Oh we kicked them out. Since you are the old Illyrians what have the Albanians built here? Nothing.
Now that is a really good look. So the answer is Yes they would take over these churches and proclaim them to be Albanian.

Now, look at the above numbers even though is not rue, but it is nowhere close to 1300 mentioned on the top sentence.
Somebody is lying big time or have no education on mathematics, since the numbers don't add up.
(the truth, 7 October 2013 18:45)

Exactly what is it that you dont understand? There are more than 1300 churches and monesteries and about 150 of them were damaged. What is it that doesnt add up except for the amount of heroin in your brain?

Though, with this government in Pristina, I wouldn't be surprised about such a move. Probably they all belong to the 'Kovovarian orthodox church' LOL

@Questioner

The thing is, there is no "Kosovarian cultural heritage". I mean, maybe something was build in the last decade since the international forces come to Kosovo and Metohija?

"Aleksandar Vulin warned on Monday against the attempts to rename the cultural heritage of Serbs in Kosovo into "Kosovo ('Kosovar') heritage.""

Sorry, but I fail to see where the problem is. According to Serbs (and by "Serbs" I mean the true and most patriotic of Serbs) Kosovo is Serbia. So, according to Serbs "Kosovo ('Kosovar') heritage" really means "Serbia ('Serbian') heritage".

It's not that Kosovo is calling it "Albanian" heritage... That would have certainly been a concern!

Comm. Parrisson

With the oldest 'Kosovarian' historic monument being the Clinton statue in Pristina, you must understand that the 'Kosovarians' try to rename the ancient Serbian monuments into 'Kosovarian cultural heritage'.

the truth

pre 10 godina

There are around 1,300 churches, monasteries and other holy sites and facilities in Kosovo and Metohija which constitute the cultural heritage of Serbs, and as many as four of these sites are included in the UNESCO List of World Heritage in Danger.

1300??? You must be counting every village in Kosova.

The four facilities on the list are the Dečani Monastery, Gračanica Monastery, Patriarchy of Peć and the Church of the Holy Virgin of Ljeviš in Prizren.

Granted, yes these four are under protection of UNESCO.

Since the arrival of the international forces to Kosovo and Metohija in June 1999 following the NATO bombing of Serbia, a total of 156 churches, monasteries and other facilities were damaged or destroyed and 61 of them have the status of cultural monuments, 18 of which bear exceptional importance for the Republic of Serbia.

Now, look at the above numbers even though is not rue, but it is nowhere close to 1300 mentioned on the top sentence.
