Whoa, he really rattled you didn't he? So much hate in your comment. As long as Serbia does not recognize "Kosovo", doors to the UN will be closed to you. And with Progressives in charge, i don't see that happening. Though, i have no doubt that you may be able to join NATO.

"He expect the overwhelming majority of EU countries that already have recognised formally Kosovo independence to allow another Cyprus in its ranks. It doesnt add up."

Finally someone here admits that the situation of Serbia and Kosovo is similar to the one of Cyprus and Northern Cyprus. Cyprus is recognized state (and an EU member), Northern Cyprus is a non-recognized entity.

But what do you mean with 'not allow another Cyprus'? It was a mistake to let only a part of Cyprus become EU member? So, what does that mean regarding Serbia and Kosovo?

I can not believe that a president of a state being so politically shortsighted drawing a parallel of five EU countries that have not yet recognised Kosovo independence and He expect the overwhelming majority of EU countries that already have recognised formally Kosovo independence to allow another Cyprus in its ranks. It doesnt add up.

Nicolic, stop misleading your own people. There is no way Serbia will ever become a member of the EU without recognizing Kosovo, no matter how often and to whome you repeat the serbian karma 'Kosovo is serbia'. Mark my words: It won't happen!!!, and if you, Nicolic, can't live with it, do your own people a big, big favor; step aside, and let somebody qualified do the job of leading Serbia into a better future. Go back to the job you are quifified for. Be a gravedigger again, and bury your own unrealistic dreams.
