Djilas, ex-Mayor was racking up debts and the procurement process was not transparent. He acquired a new bridge, new buses and a card-payment system for public transport. Furthermore, his DS comrades were running the public enterprises the same way and soon, we`ll see new scandals.

Good comments from Miki and Winston. Sadly, this was all fairly easy to predict. Electing a government ruled by re-packaged Radicals and Socialists was a bad move, and the fact that this was ever even possible after the misery of life under Milosevic - whose worst policies were championed by Seselj - is a testament to just how backward Serbia remains. Thankfully, she's being pulled into the EU - a political destiny that will force important changes. Otherwise, she would end up like Russia, which from the West, looks like one of the most horrifying countries on earth. Don't believe me? Spend a week's vacation in New York, Boston or San Francisco, then contrast that with a week's vacation in Moscow, St Petersburg or Vladivostok. Tell me where people are living a better quality of life.

Hard for you to get away from the principles thought to you by your teachers, Seselj and Milosevic. The old communist and radical ways was to not only criticize yoir opponents, but to destroy them. You, as the leader of the largest party in the ruling coalition, are telling the people that you do not know what the exact finances are in the city of Belgrade? Only an idiot would buy that, and there are plenty of them in Serbia unfortunately. If you had concrete evidence against Djilas, you would have arrested him already, but you don't so, let's do a power coup. You are attempting the same thing in Vojvodina, but the people dislike you there very much, and you may have a difficult time there. Serbia is sinking, you are borrowing money from everyone that will give you one, yet all your concentartions are on taking control of as much Serboa as you can. You, sir, want to dictate, not govern. Hoefully, the Serbian people will wake up one day, and give and your radicals, and Dacic and his socialists, the boot, but for good this time. But i also know that the Serbian people are for the most part politically ignorant, and have a high tolerance for suffering. And they probably will, until they wake up and toss your pedantic rear end out.

The peak of you inconceivable popularity is likely to decline, you will not be able to suppress uncomfortable truth that Serbia has no prospective headed by the incumbent regime. You sidestep the most pointed question that you cannot cope with financial meltdown , wages in Serbia never cover shopping basket essentials, public- sector firms squander money, corruption in the public sector is in full swing , there is a tepid response or lack of response when ruling parties’ officials are involved into crimes and corruptions. By exerting your power, you avail every opportunity to denounce the rival opposition party DS; you and your cronies do demonize the former mayor Djilas. It is inconceivable that the government officials and Ministry of finance do not provide you with data concerning Belgrade loans and debts. It is unacceptable that you have not looked into the Republican audit reports. The police investigation of Djilas may have been conducted so far, and the prosecutor may have pressed charges against him and city officials. You political cronies do the work of rumor-mongers.
