EP rapporteur's Vojvodina comment seen as "trial balloon"
Faculty of Political Sciences professor Predrag Simić says that Jelko Kacin's statement about Vojvodina was a "trial balloon" to test the mood in this country.
Isn't overall Serbian money still being used to fund the EXIT druggie-prostitute festival?
I read that the government spent $1.5 million towards it this past summer and I don't believe it was the Vojvodina budget covering this, but the Serbian government.
Kacin does not make statements of his own, but of the EU. And, what did Kacin say that was not accurate? Let's see if all the rights, payments, laws are respected by the central government towards Vojvodina. Why would anyone be against that? There is also funding available from the EU for provinces - if they are truly treated as provinces. I suggest all here relax, no one wants to take Vojvodina away from Serbia, it just wants to see it treated as it should be.
The sooner Kacin retires, the better it will be for everyone. If he wants Serbs to believe that Brussels' main goal is the micromanagement and dismemberment of member states, then he is well on the way to succeeding. He is incapable of doing anything positive in the region he is so despised. Not only that, he exceeds his mandate and role, deliberately antagonises, something at odds with his mandate as a politician, but not as his former role as Slovenian minister for propaganda.
