"It was Serbia that uncovered weapons trafficking"

It would be very bad if some in the Croat government intentionally spread false information about Serbia's involvement arms trafficking, says Aleksandar Vučić.

Well, Roger, Seeing as I get called on this board, alternately (and often by the same people in the same thread), a croat, an albanian, a bosniak, lying about living in Belgrade, lying about having ever left Serbia, a Kosovar, a spy... why not also be this Doot :)

Thanks for pointing this blog out, though. It gave me a good chuckle for about 20 mins. You might notice quite a few people commenting in agreement with the author. Pretty standard dynamic in the comments section. Some foreigners posting about their terrible experiences and angry australians shouting "how dare you!?" In other words, pretty much what happens daily in the comments section of B92

When you can't dispute what I say, you divert to something else.

We were discussing former Yugoslavia and bratstvo i jedinstvo among the people. What has what you wrote got to do with that?

Pathetic attempt at changing the subject.

BTW, three years living here and not mingling with "Yugoslav" community means you don't know what you are talking about. Is that why you think you are an expert on Australian racism which has nothing to do with Yugoslavian community being so divided.

What a ridiculous thing to say. For a start I never said I knew everything about ex Yugoslavia. I stated what I know to be fact here about people from former Yugoslavia. It doesn't take a genius to work out how much hatred there was for Yugoslavia by the very people.
It also doesn't take a genius to realize that it didn't take too long for it to break up after Tito.

So keep your stupid jabs to yourself. You can't discredit what I say because you know that I speak the truth so you think you can belittle what I say by comparing it to something so ridiculous.

So, how many times have to you been to Croatia? Could you count it on one hand, or would you need two?

pre 10 godina

Lenard, I can't speak for Serbs from the US or Canada, but as an Australian Serb I find it funny that you think that Aussie Serbs visit Croatia for their beaches, are you kidding or what?? Croatia is very nice but you can never compare it to our beaches, not even close lol,, What country on earth has more beaches and tropical islands than Australia, we have a beach culture and climate to boot! Its always summer! Also we are only a few hours away from Fiji, Thailand, Bali, Vanuatu do I need to continue.... and it's cheaper for us to visit those places than for Croats from Zagreb to visit the polluted port of Split for example..
The Serbs your suggesting are most likely visiting their ancestral homes, seeing the places where their forefathers lived before they were ethnically cleansed or exterminated during the last century. Hate to break it to you but it ain't Croatias beaches my friend they're flocking to. Lol

Peggy

pre 10 godina

Danilo,

Actually there never was such a thing as bratsvto i jedinstvo. It was obvioulsy an illusion. You see, I don't have to have been raised there but I have plenty of experience with people of former Yugoslavia here.
A very small minority of non Serbs ever called themselves Yugoslav here while majority of Serbs called themselves Yugoslav. So, bratstvo i jedinstvo predominantly existed in Serbian minds. Even over there, there was no such thing. It didn't take long for Yugoslavia to disappear once Tito died. I wonder why that is. Could it be that the people of Yugoslavia never really believed in bratsvo i jedinstvo but were only forced to accept it?

I have seen too many Croatians flock to their churches and dances where phicture of Ante Pavelic hung. I remember one place where we thought the dance organisers were Yugoslav Croatians so we went only to discover they played a Croatian national anthem instead of the Yugoslav one. Even that one turned anti bratstvo i jedinstvo.

I remember asking some Macedonians here who thier president was and they found the question offensive. Well, they kept saying how they wre not Yugoslav but rather Macedonian. That was before Yugoslavia broke up.

@Lenard, you are so delusional. Do you really believe all that cr@p?

Surfs up :))

Lol

I'll have to check out that blog. Sounds like I have a soul-mate.

Roger, maybe you think that someone can be an expert on some place not having ever lived there. I happen to think otherwise.

I mean really. Take Bam Bam, for example. He's never lived in Croatia, thinks Croatians who live there are stupid and claims that he's more knowledgeable that the "uneducated peasants" who live there now.

I can't imagine anyone not finding that laughable.

Peggy I have always said that the Serbs have no business interfering with what's happening across the Danube, but no... you Serbs continue to involve yourselves in things that don't concern you. I just wish both governments would do a deal where all Serbs from HR would return to there ancestral homeland and likwise for Croats living in SR. Only then can reconciliation commence. If that dream was possible I would be the first to promote better friendship. Peggy you know very well that the concept of intregated Multi culturalism in Serbia is not working. Good example of this was when a player for your national team refused to sing the national anthem before the game. The leftwing Serbs on this site will eventually realise what I'm telling them is true and correct

I wasn't born in the Balkans but I know alot more then those un-educated peasants that were raised there. Those mongrels knew nothing other then Tito was god. They were all raised as followers, thats why they were manipulated by the right wing in the early 90's. Its great when you can lead a horse to water and it actually drinks it. The Balkan mentality never seems to suprise me.

Arseholes. There is no way Croatians can ever be trusted. They are the ones who tried to exterminate us on more than one occasion and still they can't stop plotting against us. We should be the ones to keep grudges against them not the other way around.
Still some Serbs visit Dalmatia and leave their hard earned money there instead of going to Montenegro and Greece on holidays and contributing to their economy.
Will Serbs ever learn?
(peggy, 17 September 2013 06:05) Peggy Serbs are coming in droves to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hCazYqft-Y&NR=1 Lijepa naša Croatia. Even Serb airline finally makes a good profit by flying to Croatia's coastal citys. Serbs from Australia ,Canada ,USA and Europe come to visit their relatives in Serbia and most make arrengment to spend at least couple of days in Croatia. As for Montenegro only two places to visit Budva and Kotor while Croatia has 100's of beautifull places. As for Greece even the Greeks vacation in Croatia the biggest gains the previous year 640% and last year 1,600%. Peggy if you cant beet them join them you have been to long out in the dusty hot outback has made you very sour. As for the rest you wrote just put Serbs/Serbia thats how Serbs neighbours feel go figure. Tourisem is booming to Croatia beeting all records in every catagory.

You miss the point, Peggy.

Saying you know anything about ex-yu based on some kind of theme party in Australia is like saying you know something about Paris by going to the fake Eiffel Tower in Las Vegas with people who's parents once lived in France.

Danilo,

This clinically depressed blogger named "Doot" sounds just like you. After reading the blog it is clear why you wrote anonymously.

http://serbia-sucks.blogspot.com/2011/02/first-post.html

North American with Serbian roots who hates Serbia with an obsessive passion. How are your attempts at removing your infant baptism going?

Condescending to others whom you call "hobby" Serbs because you believe (arrogantly and without any objectivity) that you, through this dark filter that you view your surroundings, are now an expert.

You undoubtedly brought your dark and depressing attitude with you from North America. They make antidepressant drugs for people with such conditions not blogs.

@ Peggy. I lived in Australia for 3 years in the mid 80's and found the land of OZ to be a very racist towards Aboriginals and those from non English speaking background s. I'm a native of S. Africa were rascism is as normal as buying bread. What I'm trying to say Peggy why are you so reluctant to mention the appalling behavior of your countrymen in OZ. What happened to Bratsvo Jedinstvo Oz style.

Bam Bam

@peggy......As much as the Ex - left wing Yugoslav people try they will never defeat us that support the right. We ran the peasants of the so called YU in 1991 and will continue to do so today. Take the Cyrillic fiasco thats happening in Croatia at the moment. We are tearing down signs on a daily basis and the E.U can't do a thing and wont. The quicker the Serbs stop pretending that are some sort of anti fascist crusaders the better. We all know that you guys love the right just as we do ( Baja Mali Knindza ). Show your true colors and it wont take that long to get into the E.U. 'Just be yourselves for a change'.

What are you smoking? What theme party are you talking about?

When you can't dispute what I say, you divert to something else.

We were discussing former Yugoslavia and bratstvo i jedinstvo among the people. What has what you wrote got to do with that?

Pathetic attempt at changing the subject.

BTW, three years living here and not mingling with "Yugoslav" community means you don't know what you are talking about. Is that why you think you are an expert on Australian racism which has nothing to do with Yugoslavian community being so divided.

LOL. typical hobby Croat/Serb (in your case hobby Croatian-identified/aligned Albanian). I'm sure you know MUCH more that the people living there.

So, how many times have to you been to Croatia? Could you count it on one hand, or would you need two?

Interesting to hear about the quaint ethno-themed parties happening down-under
(Danilo, 18 September 2013 10:18)

I'm guessing the same thing is and was happening in the US,Canada or anywhere else with plenty of "Yugoslavs" to frequent.
It is interesting how it bratstvo i jedinstvo events were mainly organised and frequented by mostly Serbs.
Guess everyone else got the message way before the Serbs did.

Danilo said, "I'll have to check out that blog. Sounds like I have a soul-mate."

Soul-mate? No, Danilo, I don't believe you. You are the angry and arrogant blogger - "Doot" - who describes himself as," English-speaking foreigner living in Serbia, writing anonymously about everything that makes Belgrade, Serbia the worst place on earth." Your co-joined twin!

http://serbia-sucks.blogspot.com/search?updated-min=2013-01-01T00:00:00%2B01:00&updated-max=2014-01-01T00:00:00%2B01:00&max-results=8

Look in the mirror, Danilo, and you will see this depressed blogger named "Doot." That you can't admit it, is rather humorous.

Danilo

Peggy wasn't "raised with bratstvo and jedinstvo", Bam Bam. Just like you, she was in diapers when she left Bosnia, if you've ever even lived in the ex-yu region (I suspect you haven't)

Danilo
