I wonder sometimes why Serbia's top politicians seem so timid, it's very un-Serbian behaviour. Dacic spent months cosying up to Catherine Ashton and others in advance of the decision (or non-decision) about EU membership talks and now even Nikolic seems to have joined in. Why worry who recognises or doesn't recognise Kosovo? If your argument is a strong one then simply keep repeating it and let others do what they will. Egypt's recognition or otherwise changes little or nothing. They are rapidly losing credibility as a power in the Arab world and very few people will be giving much credence to anything they say or do.

Kosovo usa,

Why are you so surprised, that is exactly that tactic your interim leaders in pristina have used.
(robert1899, 5 September 2013 16:54)

That's correct, but many people here think that Kosovo is a black hole and heroic Serbia has much higher standards. Sure, if Serbia is like Kosovo, nobody should be surprised.

It is only a matter of time when the truth will come to life and I think that after meeting with president Nikolć, Egypt officials will change their aproach in Kosovo`s situation.

A bit by bit, one by one country should change its aproach about Kosovo`s "independance" ... Maybe Egypt will be the first one that will come to its senses and not recognise Kosovo.

What might have happened if Serbia spent the tiniest fraction of the energy it spends trying to convince other countries not to recognize Kosovo instead of having tried to convince Kosovo not to separate (and listen to their concerns), things may well look quite different today.

well Nikolic probably thought that asking does not hurt and the ambassador's reply was basically a "we'll think about it, call us when we sort out the mess at home".

“Serbia supports the brotherly Egyptian people and respects its will.

So, Serbs and Arabs are now brothers?
No wonder they're buying up Serbia!

BTW, what proof do you have that Kosovo politicans were 'begging' for recognitions?

Serbia was a friend with Hosni Mubarak....is still a friend with Asad of Siria....and Kim of North Korea....can someone help me with the list of Serbian friends....)))

And your allies are who exactly? Erdogan the Tyrant, Muslim Brotherhood, Taliban & Wahhabbi movements in the Gulf? Maybe you consider the West your "friends" but they are merely just your baby sitters until they feel they can leave the region completely. If your religious-nationalist movement still insists on a greater Albania when your "freinds" are not there, I can only pray the moderates within your society will prevail (if they haven't been executed by the KLA already).

Albanians, why are you so miserable?

I mean, the serbian poeple shares friendly relations with the egyptian people, you are mistakting something if you reduce it to only Mr.Mubarak...

but the mere fact that you try to critisize Serbia in every aspect possible shows how weak you actually are!

grow up...

oh, as a side-note: Serbia will prevail, and you´ll be the pathetic losers again. it´s inevitable, since this seems to be your historical destiny...

This desperate sad clown Nikolic is digging his own grave, politically, by begging foreign ambassadors to change their minds over their recognition of Kosova. At the same time he is embarrassing his countrymen yet again.
