European Council President Herman Van Rompuy says the Brussels agreement unblocked the process of Serbia's EU membership "while Kosovo is now closer to the EU."

"Kosovo is nearer to the EU". Nearer than what? I am one day nearer to death than I was yesterday but I still hope to live for another 40 years. I would be stunned if Mr van Rompuy is alive when Kosovo joins the EU unless he is one of these unfortunate people who look 65 when they are only 25. I hope that both territories become a part of the EU at the first possible date but this type of statement is typical Brussels meaningless twaddle.

Serbia will never ever become a member of the EU.
The coming War in the Mideast,
will have repercussions which will effect that.
