The Guardian destroyed hard drives with the data they received from whistleblower Edward Snowden - but its editor-in-chief says it was "slightly pointless."

Britain must clean up this area further than the current review intends.

Laws that apply within the country should also apply equally in the transit lounge.

Anti-terrorism is an excuse used increasingly by governments to justify political actions.

With actions like that, the UK lost all credibility when it comes to criticizing other countries over lacking freedom of press. It shows that the UK is not much better than Russia, China or Turkey where journalists are killed or imprisoned.

And it shows another thing: Those 'anti-terrorism-laws' which oppose basic human rights and democratic standards can easily be abused. Nobody with a clean mind could accuse this guy of being connected to terrorism.
