Your ignorance is beyond bounds.Luxembourgs debt is one of the lowest in EU whereas the UK debt is out of control. The UK is not actually growing if you take into account the rate of inflation which could probably run at more than double the official figures.
(Gotsefromohrid, 23 August 2013 15:16)

My ignorance? As of December 2012, Luxembourg is in US$2,643,000,000,000 debt.

https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/fields/2079.html

Luxembourg is the in the tenth most debt in the world and it is only a very small country with a population just over half a million.

Luxembourg has the highest debt per capita in the EU. Luxembourg's debt per capita is $US3,696,467 whereas the UK's is US$156,126.

3,696,467 divided by 156,126 = 23.67

Proportionally Luxembourg is 23 and half times more in debt than the UK.

I find it amusing that you said "Your ignorance is beyond bounds" when you're the one who is really really really wrong!

The UK economy is growing. PERIOD! You can have debt and a growing economy. Debt is ok as along as you manage it well, a bit like a mortgage.

If you break down Luxembourg's debt, they owe US$3,696,467 for each citizen there is in Luxembourg. Do you think Luxembourg worries about it's debt? Does it hell, they're always going to be megga rich.

What ever happens in the future, I'm always going to be significantly richer then you and I'm always going to enjoy a better quality of life.

4th holiday in a year? You must be a customer of Wonga.com.Thousands of brits use the loan sharks.
(Gotsefromohrid, 21 August 2013 18:47)

People who use these legalised loan sharks are the ones who can't afford to go on holiday. I don't believe in credit cards, nevermind these early pay day loan companies.

I have what is called a disposable income. In about 30-40 years time, people in Macedonia might have a disposable income too.

In the last quarter, the UK's economy grew by over £6 Billion (roughly US$9.35 Billion). The total GPD (nominal) for Macedonia in 2012 was US10.18 Billion. The UK's economy grew in the last quarter grew almost by what Macedonia's entire economy is worth. This is why I laugh when you talk about the UK's economy. Not to mention that Macedonia has an unemployment rate of 29.9% compared to the UK which has an unemployment rate of 7.9%.

You're obviously a novice on law in Europe. I said "Well, we'll let the European Court of Justice rule on that." To which you replied "What European court?" The answer to that question is the European Court of Justice (the highest court in the EU in matters on EU law), I thought that was blatantly obvious as I had just said it.

The court you're referring to is the European Court of Human Rights which is an organ of the Council of Europe, not the EU. So no, it is not the same court. It is a very different court, belonging to a different Organisation.

"Ian, UK and Spain are Western countries - since when you are interested in courts and laws? " Then we have the same attitude as Russia, China and friends.

In your last sentence, I think you were meant to use the word "genuinely" not "generally". And as to who cares, well Spain and the UK obviously.

Not very interesting article for most Serbs. Who cares?
Ian. Yes, Spain has 5 of their own Gibraltars off Morrocan coast. It's because this is what Westerns do - take it on the smaller guy.
"Well, we'll let the European Court of Justice rule on that. "
What European court? Is that the same one that ruled that Croatia has to return Serb property natinalized after "Oluja"? And this was one of the EU demands and conditions on Croatia befor they start talks with EU. Then, as it was realised this would cost some 40 billion Euros, quietly was dropped.

Now the Spanish want to introduce what they describe as a "London style congestion charge", which they believe won't violate EU law. Well, we'll let the European Court of Justice rule on that.

The Spanish are being really silly. Spain has huge a unemployment rate of 27.2% and Gibraltar is providing thousands of jobs for Spanish citizens in the Spanish province of Cádiz. The massive queues which Spain is at fault for has already affected Spanish people's jobs, this proposed congestion charge will further affect unemployment in Cádiz. The Spanish Government are stupid. The Gibraltarians are very rich and will be able to afford the proposed congestion charge, as will British tourists staying in Gibraltar; it will be the thousands of poor Spaniards who won't be able to afford the congestion charge and many depend on Gibraltar for jobs. What idiots. The cheap Spanish labour in Gibraltar can easily be replaced.

This is very political on Spain's behalf, they're using this as a smoke-screen whilst the ruling People's Party's popularity is suffering due to economic & social problems the Government is unable to resolve.

This reef is needed to protect & preserve marine wild life. Spanish fishermen do not need these waters. Why do you think Spanish fishermen can be found of the north coast of Scotland?

The EU (which Gibraltar is apart of & Spain is cherry picking which EU laws to abide) will take control of the Gibraltar-Spain border soon.

I say the 14+ Million British tourists who go to Spain each year should boycott Spain for one year & show them how much damage we can do to their economy if they mess with Gibraltar. Spain is economically dependent on the UK, yet they decide to mess with us. If they're going to act politically like they did in the 1960s, then we should send their economy back into the 1960s.

I don't know why they're so bothered about Gibraltar. Spain is going to break up in a few years time, Gibraltar should be the least of their concerns.

The funny thing is that Spain has five of their own Gibraltars off Morocco. I hope the Moroccans are paying attention to this.

Bob

The sea is big and Spanish fishermen travel far over it.

This is political.

There is need for more reefs in the sea so that small fish can breed and grow.

The trouble is that fishermen are just reapers, not sowers.

There is scope for compromise here - the Spanish could create more reefs as a symbol of common sense and international cooperation.
