I am not hopeful. The banksters are very powerful and the fact that and bankster news service like B92 are taking this fellow up is an indication he will be a loyal servant of foreign crooks and not the honest Serbian people.

You post sounds good, but i have a few issues with it. First, Serbia has already tried the route that you want it to take. The government is the entity that ruined Serbia. Why would you want them back into the mix? Obviously they are grossly inept. Second, whether you like to accept it or not, Serbia needs help from the outside. They need hard currency. The only ones that can provide them with that ARE entities such as the IMF etc etc.

Welcome to the "global economy" Michael. You don't have to like it, but you have to adapt and figure out a way to make it work for you and not against you. Serbia needs help big time. Simply put, there is no substitution for intelligence. If he went to Yale he is obviously intelligent. However, Serbias problems are much bigger than this man. Even with his know how, he cannot change Serbias problems alone. The entire government would need to be changed. As long as people keep voting for "stupid" and voting with emotions instead of their brains.....you will keep getting what you have. Keep doing what you've always done and you'll keep getting what you've always gotten.

That is traitorous since Yale is in a country which is the enemy of Serbdom. Serbia has its own very patriotic CE of B92 forums sj who would be the best for Minister of Finance of Serbia or, at a minimum, I'm sure he/she can provide some recommendation for some graduate of the famous University of Malaya to become Serbia's Finance Minister.

A lot can be said about so called US prestigious universities such as Yale where in the most instances the only prestigious thing about them is their exorbitant fees. Considering that the US is so far down the rabbit hole of insolvency itself why didn’t the US government ask for help from places like Yale? Then there is the issue of George W Bush going to Yale – that idiot finished university tells it all.

I congratulate Lazar Krstic on his achievements and see that he is a very bright young man who has a brilliant future. I certainly hope he has his people at heart instead of trying to feather his own nest like Dacic, Vucic and Nikolic.

No doubt he would pursue a neo liberal agenda to the detriment of Serbia .
Don't return keep your consulting job so you may assist your bankster mates with their constant restructuring of western economies

@Michael Thomas

You think that Serbia's corrupt government -- with some officials simply well-bribed puppets for tycoons, who made millions on the backs of Serbian citizens and funneled it all to the tax shelter of banks in Cyprus -- should own and control the Serbia's banking system?? That would be disastrous.

And, I think it's unfair to assume Mr. Krstic would be a "loyal servant of foreign crooks" simply because news sources are reporting on his background. Serbia desperately needs intelligent, educated, committed Serbian young people to take over from the existing politicians who ruined the country over the last decade. The exodus of the best and most talented Serbs to the West for a better life has to stop.

A clever young man, no doubt about it. But what is his political outlook?

I believe that governments should strive to serve the interests of their people. First and foremost this means the government should own and control the banking system and create enough credit to keep their people fully employed. The government could create these credits for free.

Those who pass through Yale and work for McKinsey tend to view the world differently. Many believe that private banks should be the ones to create credits and should lend these to governments and people at interest. The fact that banks can create credit at will and at zero cost does not seem to matter to these people.

If this young man allows the National Bank of Serbia to serve the Serbian people by creating Dinar credits, then he will be the saviour of the nation. If he brings in the IMF and foreign private banks into Serbia, then the nation will go down the same drain as Greece, Cyprus.

I am not hopeful. The banksters are very powerful and the fact that and bankster news service like B92 are taking this fellow up is an indication he will be a loyal servant of foreign crooks and not the honest Serbian people.
