The EU is becoming ever more dysfunctional and have huge problems, barely managing to keep up with their own worries. So, how can EU be expected to fix Serbia?

Are seen as the perpetual problem of the region that needs to be dealt with.
He is being very explicit in the wish that the serbian constitution must be changed so that kosovo is removed. He has been very strident in his "kosovo is a part of serbia is a lie" and really is demanding severing all contacts with kosovo but its still part of the constitution and he is demanding it be removed very explicitly.

Other than the odd lapse into paranoia Dacic is on the right track with what the country needs to do to achieve EU membership. What there needs to be more discussion about is whether or not such membership is worth the sacrifices that will have to be made, not including the resolution of the Kosovo issue. Chief amongst the problems to be resolved is political corruption and nepotism which is rife across the whole of the Balkans. After this comes the economy and tackling organised crime. Reform of the judiciary will be on the list, reducing subsidies to industry.........shall I stop now??
