Did you know that Tito and the UN created conditions for the silent removal of Serbians from Kosovo. The Un paid 33.333%, Tito's dictatorship 33.333% and the rest by most of the Albanian immigrants wishing to live there.

It was paid by Croatia and Slovenia what can Serbia afford now and then absouloutly nothing. Just like now encouragable Serbia [link] stealing others companies and fencing them.

Lenny,

Croatian and Slovenian companies most which were transplanted from Serbian soil (WW2 compensation) were subsidised by cheap Serbian minerals. Today these companies are finding it hard competing on the open market for resources and sales. It is good to see alot of Croats crossing the border to do their shopping in Serbia, were talking Euros now.

I agree that serbs should be conpensated for their lost properties but so should kosovo be conpensated by destruction of many houses, roads, factories done by serbian army. Also a compensation of human lifes that serbian military killed during the war. If serbia dont pay compensation then they have no right to claim anything.

No, it was payed by YU federal administration, including all states. Yes, most came from Slovenia and Croatia. But Kosovo has been an economic black hole that sucked state money since the times of Tito.

There isn't a single thing that Albanians have in Kosovo that wasn't paid for by some Serb. Not only are Albanian claims to an Albanian nation in Kosovo false, but Albanian claims to property in Kosovo are similarly false.

The fact of the matter is that the community of Serbian municipalities will have it's own property under pristina law and it will be subject always to takeover by pristina and can only be operated under pristina law how pristina wants it to bs operated. Serbs get no power of their own they only exercise power how Albanians allow them to. Serb lawyers and judges in kosovo need a republic of Kosovo law license so the csm will operate like that.

You mean like many states don't recognize Kosovo as a sovereign state?
(Questioner

In fact, more states recognize Kosovo than Serbia as Serbs see it.

Serbia doesn't recognize a lot of things when it comes to Kosovo but life goes on.

Hundreds of millions of dollars were invested after 1999 but he forgot to mention that this was NOT done by Serbia.
I think he also meant to say that once UNMIK turned control of the privatization office over to Pristina as per resolution 1244 it no longer was UNMIKs mandate to approve or disapprove of privatizations.

the truth

pre 10 godina

He reiterated that Serbia did not participate in the privatizations in Kosovo and Metohija and that it does not recognize their results, "which UNMIK does not recognize either."

Privatization agency was established when UNMIK was governing Kosova, and after it left ,it handed over to Kosova government.

Property is a big issue and it must be resolved. I don't think any country would tolerate the loss of so much property, even if one day Kosovo's independence is accepted. What is Serb property is Serb property. If Kosovo's Albanians want to keep it, Serbs will have to be compensated. Otherwise, it's just stealing. I think in the end some just solution will be figured out, at least if Kosovo one day wants to be a member of the EU and UN.
