LOL as if your Bosnian Muslim elite is full of progressive and upstanding citizens. The people in RS are struggling just like in anywhere else in the Balkans, but they are surely better off than Bosnia is. Your federation with the Croats has been a complete failure and even they want out too. That's like well over 50% of the land mass of "bih" as well as 50% of the population.

And no country that is that divided can exist no matter how much you'd like it too. Particularly because its funded on a foreign dime and not from the parts of Bosnia that want to see a unitary state.

Dodik is corrupt of course. But you are trying to convince us that the Bosniak political class is somehow any better than he is. If I were Bosnia, I would worry about the rise of Wahhabism in that country as well as the minority Croat community that wants separation from Bosnia.

Dodik is a demagog, and ultranationalist politician. I believe he is also a criminal, non-democratic and uneducated, and non-modern politician. He is a cold-war period awkward man, whose south-stream money cannot & won't help him out to overcome the US & the EU's greater source of political and economical influence, especially having in mind the account of the Srebrenica Genocide, in Bosnia on its road to the EU. In the end of the day, he is just a political propagandist, who talks populist stories to those who are eager of them, or those who are shallow in any possible life sense to comprehend the real picture of it. There is no way that the patriots, civilized citizens, veterans of war, victims, international community share his self narrow interest, and backward visions about Bosnia. He started the cold war in Bosnia, and he will get it, but as a loser, the same as did the SSSR, with the US. One man from Laktasi unfortunately, had lost his favourite game, the very moment when he had started to play it, because the whole concept was already the best before predetermined for failure. The Serbs in Bosnia, should look for a modern, educated, and normal, civilized politician/leader, to help them get back to the civilized community, and to live better lives in any possible way, away from the economical and political desperation generated from the SANU, and Laktasi, or whatever backward and bad that it is. No more Hajducki way of life, but only modern one poor Dodik.

On these days preceding the Srebrenica anniversary, the words of this man sound like those of people who, under the heat of guilt, prefer to attack back rather than apologize.

Don't you get it? Genocide was taken out of context when courts ruled it a genocide. Look up the definition. Great many people were killed both Muslims in Srebenica and Serbs in the surrounding areas in the run up to the massacre. Dodik doesn't recognize it as genocide and neither do I. It is just convenient for Muslims and western powers to label it as such to justify their means and meet their ends. Dodik is a good president for RS. They don't have any wartime "dirt" on him to exploit and he doesn't care for the mini-Yugoslavia that was created when the old one was destroyed.

In November 2012, German state prosecution implicated Dodik and his son in a corruption case involving the Hypo Group Alpe Adria bank. The investigation concerned "several criminal offenses, including falsifying of documents, faking financial and business reports and fraud." The judicial system of Bosnia and Herzegovina initially investigated the case following a complaint filing, but "political pressures soon stopped the judicial bodies and the police in the RS."[39] According to Domagoj Margetić, a Croatian journalist, Dodik had bribed and threatened him in order to not link him to the Hypo Group Alpe Adria affair story.[40] On November 26, 2012, High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina Valentin Inzko confirmed that there was no investigation against President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and his family in Germany or Austria.

On July 12, 2010, at the 15th anniversary of the Srebrenica Massacre, Dodik declared that he acknowledges the killings that happened on the site, but does not regard what happened at Srebrenica as genocide, differing from the conclusions of the ICTY and of the International Court of Justice. "If a genocide happened then it was committed against Serb people of this region where women, children and the elderly were killed en masse," Dodik said, in reference to eastern Bosnia.

He's not a creepy man, nor does he have blood on his hands. Quite the opposite, he harbored Bosnian Muslims in his house when he feared a populace *might* be of harm to them during the civil war.

He is quite disrespectful (and developed quite the ego in the past 15 years), based on his testimony this Spring at Dr. Karadzic's trial. (His ego was diminished shortly into his testimony) He does not have original ideas, but rather takes other Serb political parties' stand as his own, when trying to get extra popularity. He is not a person to turn to when the occupiers leave Bosnia. Serbia's business community should be aware of these facts.

Dodik has the toughest job of any Serbian politician in any place Serbs practice politics. He is doing remarkably well. I would like to hear more about other Serbs like him in the area who must be working just as hard. He can't possibly be the only one.

Ned Taylor

Dodik usually saves this sort of guff for an election year so he must have something spectacular up his sleeve for 2014. I understand his irritation as he nearly always gets his own way in domestic politics but knows that unless the US and EU withdraw support for BiH as a country he is powerless to do anything. There is no sign at all that they intend to do this; in fact quite the opposite.
