Exactly Nikolle, just because I can't see why doesn't mean he doesn't have a reason.
Why do you think he is your biggest supporter and lobbyist? Surely even you must agree that there must be a reason. Nobody does anything without a reason.
Is this too much logic for you?

Initially I could not get the point of the article, since countries have interests and their allies differ accordingly. But then I read some of the comments below, I understood it was red meet for the extremists. What I don't get now is: What has become to ones very serious, independent and prestigious B92?

Nikolle

To lobby against Kosovo recognition Serbia has used muslims, jews, christians, ateists, communists, dictators etc. and serbian politicians never felt ashamed about it. If muslim brotherhood did not support Kosovo independence b92 would not care if serbian lobbyists were behind attacks. Why don't you write about serbian lobbyists in Syria? Christian America lobbies for anything that suits their interest. They have no morals, respect no one, nor do they honor anything they sign. They figure the albanians have no brains, are nobody, and could be manipulated like puppets. It is not that that they believe you are righteous and deserving, far from it.

Common Sense

Typical of the Serbian news outlets, there are no verifiable sources of information, only hearsay. Apparently this fervent supporter of Kosova's independence that we've never heard of, did not do such a great job, since Egypt has been promising to recognize ever since Mubarak's departure, and dragging its feet up until the last minute.

Just came back from holidays from Sharm.

In Egypt without a doubt we Albanians have great respect and consideration. I didn't met even one single educated Egyptian that does not show great sympathy and respect for Albania. They are all aware of the Albanians determinant contribution for the modern and secular state of Egypt. They all know and proudly admit that it was the Albanian Ali Pasha that founded the modern state of Egypt. His son founded Syria.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhammad_Ali_of_Egypt

His dynasty ruled Egypt until 1952 and everything secular or modern in Egypt has Albanian imprint. The cultural and intellectual elite in Cairo is of large portion composed of Egyptians of Albanian origin.

Also the Albanian Islamic scholar al-Albani is highly considered in Egypt. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhammad_Nasiruddin_al-Albani

Thus, the reports of the Albanian language media of Albanian-Egyptian relations having “deep roots and long history." is true.

p.s. the above goes for Turkey as well. With Ataturk and very consistent part of Turkish intellectual and secular elite of Turkey and Turkish army: they are all of Albanian origin. The Serbian share in secular Turkey is also very important as well as the Greek one. There are over 2 million Turkish citizens of Serbian origin. One important fact that people forget is that the largest number of the Ottoman Empire rulers was Albanian, followed by Turks that were followed by Serbs. That is the top 3.

mauro

I remember the movie "my big fat Greek wedding" where the girl's father used to underline and explain how everything was of greek origin... So: roman emperors were albanians, egyptian kings were albanians, turkish sultans were albanians. Greeks are albanian, italians are albanian. And yes, maybe our friend wasn't told in Sharm that even Cleopatra was of albanian origin because she belonged to a family of macedonian origin... so: Albania ! One of the last decisions Morsi made before he was overthrown was to recognize Kosovo on June 26,

The fact of the matter is that; Egypt recognized Kosova and no Serb media reported the news at that time. All of sudden, the recognition makes headlines! I remember your former FM Vuk Jeremic claiming that Egypt will never recognize Kosova.
It happened. Never reported when it happened. Finally it made it on Serb media!!!???

ops, you are in for a big surprise for the incoming recognitions in near future.

Other than for his insults aimed at Jews, he is also "well-known" for offensive statements against women "who do not cover their faces."

Nothing unusual for an islamist: Hate speech, extremism, open intolerance - no wonder he stresses the great friendship with Kosovo Albanians. Must be common mentality!

Common Sense

pre 10 godina

Typical of the Serbian news outlets, there are no verifiable sources of information, only hearsay. Apparently this fervent supporter of Kosova's independence that we've never heard of, did not do such a great job, since Egypt has been promising to recognize ever since Mubarak's departure, and dragging its feet up until the last minute.

It does not bother you what syrian dictator Assad is doing, as long as he is against Kosovo independence.

I did read that, thing is, in Kosova its illegal to wear the headscarf in school so this guy wouldn't like Kosova very much.

I wonder if you read that Islamists from the Balkans are fighting in Syria and they come from Bosnia, Kosova and Albania. So much for your not wearing a headscarf policy.

@ The Truth,

It was reported. And people were not surprised that the Morsi govt. recognized Kosovo since the MB expresses solidarity with Sunni muslim causes worldwide. Now is a different story. Radical islam doesn't work in Egypt. Let's hope for more Coptic Christian's in govt. to balance out the muslim mania.

Peggy

Who is you? You mean Kosova? let us examine, in Kosova you can purchase alcohol, you can gamble, two things which re no no's in Islamic states. In Kosova wearing the hijab is forbidden in gov. buildings and in schools. Kosova's staunchest backers happen to be countries with Christian majorities, some of our biggest opponents happen to be Muslims (Indonesia, Algeria, Lybia, Syria, Iran oddly enough, Palestine too). most of the Arab world is on Serbia's side as well. no Kosova and Egypt don't have much in common

So what?! Don't hate the player, hate the game. It's politics, and the main goal is to take care of one's needs. Kosovo needed a recognition from Egypt...they were smart and got it.

You must have somethig in common, no?

When you have nothing to argue with you take it in a different direction.
Go back to what you originally said and what I said.

You were trying to imply that this maniac wouldn't like KosovO because of head scarfs etc. I was saying that you must have something in common since he is your biggest supporter.
That's all.

Figure it out.

Maybe he knows he can change all that.
I have no idea what he would like about KosovO or what he wouldn't like, but the indisputable truth is that he has lobbied so very hard for you guys.
Now you tell us why do you think that is. My opinion is that you must have something he like or something in common.

What's you answer?

SIXTEEN of Britain’s LEAST wanted can today be named and shamed by The Sun in a roll call of hate-mongers.

The 15 men and one woman have been banned from entering the UK since October as part of a crackdown by Home Secretary Jacqui Smith.

Nikolle

...right, so you have no idea what it is but there must be something? Muslim Algeria and Muslim Lybia must also like Serbia very much, considering that they side with on Kosova and not with the Albanians. Don't ask me what it is, but there must be something. Same goes for the nut cases in Tehran

Initially I could not get the point of the article, since countries have interests and their allies differ accordingly. But then I read some of the comments below, I understood it was red meet for the extremists. What I don't get now is: What has become to ones very serious, independent and prestigious B92?

Peggy

Exactly Nikolle, just because I can't see why doesn't mean he doesn't have a reason.
Why do you think he is your biggest supporter and lobbyist? Surely even you must agree that there must be a reason. Nobody does anything without a reason.
Is this too much logic for you?
