To that idiot who wrote some garbage about Hugary seeking its place under the sun, bad economics and "some marshall called Horti" fighting after the Germans.

Hungary DOES know its place, as it is not over an 11 centuries country. Few others can say the same. We know that we came fom different ethnic/national stocks, and consider it as an asset and value to cherish.

As to economics, Hungary has been under excessive debt protocol, but it has now ceased due to the fact that its deficit is well below the 3% limit, plus the inflation rate is lowest sincs over 25 years, plus there is GDP growth, with shrinking unemployment. This recent clash with some EUSSR mandarins in the Strasbourg parliament is a show for morons, who have massive leftist-liberal political agenda to interfer with the current conservative government's policies in Hungary where the previous Soclib government had run the country into complete chaos.

And lastly, Hungary was invaded by Germany on the 19th March, 1944, followed by Horthy's removal from his remaining power by the Arrowcross coup on the 15th of October, in which Horthy, together with his family was arrested and deported to Mauthausen.

The real test for a democracy is not how the government treats those who agree with its policies and who voted for them, but how it treats those who do/did not. Mr Erdogan and Mr Morsi are discovering this, the latter to his great cost. You cannot expect to win an election and then do whatever you want, including making the country less democratic, until the next election. Equally, I would have hoped that Orban would come to that conclusion by himself rather than have to have it pointed out to him by Brussels.

God Bless this man. If the Hungarians want, they can join Serbia, Greece, Cyprus, North Macedonia, R. Srpska and Isreal in a better union! But they have to teach us the Chardash first!

"Since the rule of Soviet empire, no other external power has dared to ..." Orban said.

As an upgraded Communist Orban should know that when moving along a spiral you never know where the upside is. So singing along with the Locomotive GT the “minding magasabra” ( “always higher and higher”) song is too risky. Say before the Soviet Kadar Ianos there was some Marshall Horti who kept on fighting even after Berlin had been put on it’s knees. Long before that someone known as Dragula also had his own of viewing at things like life and freedom. So it’s a spiral and you never know where you really are.

Sure the socialist camp states enjoyed a limited independence. But today they can only dream of such a scale of freedom. Besides they have said farewell to almost all the property on their own soil. So Orban missed a nice chance to keep silent. Hungary like any other EU member had been voluntary to restrict it’s independence that in Magyarorsag can can be found only in a dictionary now. Such a the rules and it’s too late to complain. The Hungarians because of their low economics are in an active search of their place beneath the sun.

They don’t like the Soviets to stop the started civil war in 1956 and they complain at EU to be as strict as they had promised to be. Few years ago they has also stopped their Finnish brotherhood and declared themselves Turks … so talking about the "Soviet-style methods" is too aggravated. Let him look at himself better !
