French ambassador "surprised by significance given to date"

The reforms Serbia faces in the coming years are much more important than the start date for the accession talks with the EU.

Like it or not you should maybe hear what most people in Europe think of Albanians.

Now, with which of their neighbours do Albanians NOT have a territorial dispute?
Serbia?
Creece?
FYROM?
Montenegro?
Bulgaria?

Would you also say that the Serbs are responsible for Slovenia's current economic crisis?
After all, they no longer provide Slovenian industry with free raw material.

Serbia (Yugoslavia) made a friggen mess out of their country for many many years. Obviously - they cannot go it alone and need the EU. Of course, the Serb's hate all countries around them - so they are really still trying to make a mess out of their little country that is broke. Oh yea - that's Serbia's images like it or not.

Why should Serbia be listening to anyone about what it ought to be doing when it is doing these things anyway? It doesn't need France's or Germany's advice about fixing its problems.

The accessions negotiation date was held out as enticement to get Serbia to dance to the EU's tune. But Serbia has already been dancing and if the EU wants to play along that's fine. Don't put the cart before the horse.
