These are some really ignorant comments. At least Hungary has enough class to apologize and admit crimes. Funny how we can get along with Hungarians better than our own. During the Second World War in Yugoslavia, as with the Catholic Church in Croatia, many Muslim clerics in Bosnia and Kosovo were willing accomplices in the genocide of the nations Serbian, Jewish and Roma population. It would help if you actually opened a history book once in a while that wasn't published in your own contry either!

MikeD, you're the one who has brought up history books. Could you please name (if you can) a history book which backs up what you're saying about WW2? I want to know the specific title and the name of thr author please. Thanks.

Germans who were born after the war have nothing to do with what Hitler has done and, therefore, why should they apologize? However, all Germans that I know still show an immense shame for what has been done during this tragic period.

Avni What a stupid comment..
It is the other way around, those countries should apologize to Serbia instead. For the sufferings caused in WW2, and for the destruction of Yugoslavia by these people.
But a good gesture from the Hungarian President.
Let's share a bright Future instead of hate.

The past! Past is forever gone and should be remebered only to incite us to avoid the crimes of our ancestors. Too often the past is remembered to commemorate what others have done and to point a finger at their crimes, forgetting that we are not without faults. Ultimately, past should incite us to avoid hatred and build a better future.

Isn't it about time Germany apologised to everyone too? And to all the albanians asking Serbs and Serb supporters to apologise, we'll apologise when you stop your occupation of kosovo and return to albania.

Too little, too late
(So sad, too bad, 26 June 2013 13:53) Name is appropriate. A head of state apologizing for crimes committed 70 years ago, even before he was born and rejected by persons who committed just as serious of crimes in the last 20 years, I agree, so sad, too bad!

"When is Serbia going to apologize to Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Kosovo?"
Avni

You know when? When you get an education and stop smuggling drugs that poisons Europe. In other words, never.

Now would be a good time for Serbia to apologize for the crimes in Kosovo.
And the Albanians for their crimes against Serbs.
Though i'm not equalizing the blame because Serbia clearly did more damage, concerning the latest war.

As an albanian from Kosovo I often come here and check the comments and find nothing but hate and it saddens me and perhaps many people. Please, I understand that there is no agreement between us , but there must be a way to get along with each other without hating each others guts. I don't even know why i'm writing this.

If you think that, Serbs are just as pigheaded and stubborn as Croats and Albanians. Apologize, forgive, reconcile, and cooperate.
