This shows how the US government goes after investigative journalists and others who are trying to find out what is going on.

A bald faced lie, if there ever was on. It is much, much larger than that. There is also widespread corporate espionage, sometimes assisted by the government, against their own allies. Normally such stories are brushed under the carpet and only highlighted if non allies are involved like Russia or China. Ten years ago, Boeing was caught stealing Airbus documents from a hotel room. There are plenty of ex-security services employees available for this kind and other kinds of work, the US outsourcing some of their spying and black propaganda campaigns to companies like Booze-Allen, Stratfor, JB Garry (as have been exposed by hackers/wikileaks). A few years back it was revealed that Verizon had a special snooping room for the NSA, which means all telco's had them. Google's Eric Schmidt was right "You have no privacy"

Don't worry, the US only uses it for good - a definiton that they are not willing to provide.

*Apologies to 10CC and their great hit "I'm Not in Love", which could be a balad that explains US-German relations...

Just another liar like most US presidents before him. He spreads freedom and democracy by using drones in wedding party bombing, holds and tortures prisoners in Guatanamo without trial and using surveillance to spy on people at home and abroad. No wonder he was awarded the Nobel prize for peace.
