Thaci has said from day one he is willing to meet with the Serbs in the north but they were all out blocking highways.
(think again, 11 June 2013 20:18)

You seem to forget what the barricades were for in the first place. Was that failed invasion of the north in 2011 Thaci's way of "meeting" with the Serbs? Sorry, his actions belie your opinions.

Like it or not but Serbia has delivered the North to Pristina, the funds will eventually trickle off, international aid will flow through Pristina. If there is no communication there will also be no checks.
(think again, 11 June 2013 20:18)

You know as well as I that's not going to happen. Pristina lost the north with this recent agreement. The Assembly of Serbian Municipalities will operate in theory under Pristina but has the power to manage its own affairs, maintain ties with Belgrade, and let's be honest, will pretty quickly ignore and bypass any attempts by Pristina to control it. Funds might come in (they're coming in now because the EU wants to build up the north as a way of winning hearts and minds) but they'll go directly to Mitrovica, not Pristina.

the solution North Kosovo is about to become a barren waste land and most will either leave or their children will. All because a few criminals think they can resurrect their enterprise.

You might want to visit the north at some point. It looks and is organized a lot better than what's just south of the Ibar :)

I would say typical northern mentality. You say 14 years? Remember for 9 of those 14 it UNMIK in charge in the north and the Serbs would have nothing to do with them. They denied any authority from UNMIK and resisted everything. When UNMIK called elections the Serbs scheduled their own. They refused to acknowledge 1Thaci 244. Then came EULEX, and suddenly it was UNMIK was the only recognizable authority, northern Serbs would only talk to UNMIK???.

I fully agree with the premier, it is time that a new channel, or a medium if I may, be opened so that conversations can be had with our people.

"Commenting on the situation in northern Kosovo, Thaci said that it has been "hard" over the past 15 years, and that it had "cost the population the most," that "nobody was content with this situation - neither the EU, nor the U.S., and that it had only suited individuals." "

Well, that's not only for northern Kosovo. Neither the US nor the EU is content with the overall situation, and her is right, it only suited indivduals, or let's say, the various Albanian mafia clans who turned Kosovo in Europe's main drug hub, responsible for about 80% of heroin trafficking to Europe. Unfortunately, these clans are cooperating well with the 'politicians' in Pristina.

"Regarding the local elections, planned for this fall, Thaci denied the claims that citizens from the north of Kosovo would only be able to vote if they possessed documents of "the Republic of Kosovo."

Maybe they can vote twice, so that the Serbian candidates are elected with 115% of the voters, like it happened with some candidates from Thaci's party in the home province of his clan?

He "can't wait" to meet with the northern Kosovo Serbs? What's taken this idiot this long? 14 years since the end of conflict and 5 years since "independence", and he might as well travel to Belgrade if he's going to northern Mitrovica. Sorry Hash, you lost the north with your last agreement with Dacic so if you're planning on meeting them, it's too little too late. If you want to come as a tourist then be my guest. Just leave your guns, your rhetoric, and what you think are your credentials at the Ibar bridge. You'll need none of them. You might want to take a riot shield though. Anything from eggs to rocks to, well, it IS a "lawless region", could be hurled at you :)

Now, after the agreement on the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, which is an irreversible process... Therefore, I cannot wait to meet them.

I cannot wait to see this organ harvester, the US and EU eat their words...

As far as one can judge their biggest will is to be free from you and join the mainland Serbia.
