He resigned because he didn't agree with the agreement between Belgrade and Pristina and now he will happily get his job back, with wages and benefits the likes of which the average Serb can only dream.

What really happened was that Vulin was told his office budget would have to be cut and possibly merged into another government department - either due to cutting costs, or as part of agreement with the west (or both). In protest Vulin offered his resignation, which was accepted. In the meantime Vulin, realising he had a joker in the pack, got the Kosovo Serbs onside. Looks like it worked!

BTW Vulin isn't wearing black because he's in mourning. He's been wearing black for many years - its part of his image, he used to have long hair and listened to heavy rock too. I think he ought to get bolts tattooed onto his neck, he'd make a great Frankenstein...

This guy needs to take a laxative, and try smiling once in a while. These communists think they have to look serious all the time, they don't. As for him keeping his job, IMHO, it's a waste of public funds. He did pretty much nothing before, during, and after the negotiations in Brussels. What he can possibly do now in Kosovo is beyond me. It's Serbian political party BS. They are all about image, and you can't have someone quitting in the party.

Not bad Vulin, not bad. Let Vucic and Dacic deal with the potato while it is hot, that is let them deal with upset North Kosovo Serbs and go to Kosovo to explain what happened and why. Then, come back to NOT doing your job through the back door. That is, if he accepts to come back.

Vulin seems to be a good man.

Rocky - From what I understand of Serbian tradition, a person wears black for one year following the death of a close relative.
