icj1, I can't vote for anyone in Serbia so Nikolic or anyone else won't be getting my vote. If I could vote, I most certainly wouldn't be voting for Nikolic,
Now that we have that out of the way, please take my name out of your rantings.

Good move to grant this contract to the americans and its a recognition by america that kosovo is still serbia. This is a slapp in the face to Pristina and all brainwashed albanians at this forum.
(Hank the Tank, 17 May 2013 23:31)

Another perfect example of how little Serbs need for buying anything sold to them by Serb politicians. I guess after this great victory with this contract which returns Kosovo back under Serbia, you, Ari Gold, Peggy, sj, etc.. etc... will vote for Tomislav, but, again, please don't come back in these forums to denounce him for traitorous acts and for lying to you :)

American businesses signing contracts with the Serbian government for investments in Kosovo. This is significant. International law is with Serbia and nothing can happen without Serbian approval.
UN resolution 1244 is still valid so albos you better be nice with serbs for ones.

Hey all you simpltons just do a google serach on new generation power and you will see that this company exists in Chicago. The gentleman pictured is Dr. Chirinjeev Kathuria, president of the consortium (he happens to be Punjabi and wears the turbin as religious garment you ignoramouses, but is still an American citizen, because in America you can be minority and successful)furthermore it is interesting that one of the partners in this consortium is Lockheed martin here is the link http://newgenpower.com/partners/lockheed-martin/
never the less the consortium exists. Don't worry Albanians will get to work in the mines but the profits will go to ownership (Serbia-NGP consortium). See you in court! In the end the International business law will win out! Oh by the way what ever happen to Madiline albrieghts mobile phone consortium? I guess maybe they got scared that albos didn't really have ownership settled yet? see you in court!

You must have used an Albanian method of 'research'. Little hint: A simple googling for "NGP kathuria" will help you. Or you use the direkt link to www.newgenpower.com

So, conclusion: This consortium is at least as existent than the independent dream state of Kosovo.

This is the real reason why serbia has wanted to keep north of kosovo.

I just did some research and this consortium does not exist. Secondly all the mines are in the south side of mitrovica, could this be some magic flower for serbs in north kosovo.

America is the bigest backer of kosovo independance it will not allow some paky to extrack anything without the backing of prishtina.

Its all a bit of special magic from belgrqde again!!

Interesting that you can recognize if someone is American citizen from his look. Furthermore, unlike the president of the USA, the president of an American company doesn't have to be American citizen.

OK, let's get all of the rah rah, pro Serb, pro Albanian opinions out of the way, so we can make some sense of this. IMHO, seems like Trepca will be a joint Albanian / Serbian project, but with Pristina holding a majority interest, only because of Trepca's location. Having a US company as major investor is ideal, no one screw with them, once the agreement contracts are signed. It is always difficult for politicians to speak in the language of truth, and Serbia can claim Trepca as a victory, and maybe that is not even important, but I applaud that solutions are being found, and that investors are coming to Kosovo. I don't think it really matters whether the Albanians reap more from Trepca than the Serbs, because in the bigger picture, that part of the Balkans will benefit from the mines, regardless of ethnicity.

Plenty has happened without Serbia's approval since 1999. Unless you believe in magic then everything has happened with Serbia's approval. Even the bombing of Belgrade happened with Serbias approval. The law is on the side of those that bombed you. If you weren't aware, they are the law makers.

I think you Albanians are being duped, and you don´t realize it. I could be wrong of course, but given that the US will have to adjust to changing geopolitical conditions, and that the Albanians are known for not being trustworthy, I am not that pessimistic..

you´re big with your mouths, but when it comes to trouble, you are running fast. you´ve proven it numerous times in history, and if you´re not too stupid, you will know that in the end, the Serbs were victorious.

take care of your deeds... because sooner or later you will have to answer for them.

Hank the Tank and Michael Thomas, it takes so little to bring sunshine in your life. You believe anything as long as it is said by a Serbian press but read the article carefully again.
1. No business in America signing any contract is a reflection of what the US govt focus is.
2. You notice they also said they will talk with the Kosovo side also and try to sign an agreement with them. No agreement no deal.
3. Your leaders have a tendency to embellish the meaning of things.
4. Notice the contract is on technical cooperation, not on use of the mine, the ability to use the mine, nor anything else, I have a feeling those issues will be discussed and negotiated with the proper authorities who will control who actually will reopen the mines and it will not be anyone in Belgrade.

America is multicultural so it is quite feasible that the guy with the turban is an American citizen. It's a shame we the Serbs, Croats, Slovenes, Montenegrins, Bosniaks, Macedonians, Jews, Hungarians, Albanians, Roma, etc, etc couldn't live in a multicultural society ie.Yugoslavia we wouldn't have all the problems we have now and the individual Republics would not be being systematically asset-stripped by overseas multinationals who don't give a damn about the people who live on this God-forsaken territory.
