I have had a conversation with an Albanian person who wants the same as I do, peace and for people who are willing to try and get along and live together without fear of persecution because of their ethnicity.
I am glad I had the contact with that person and hope that it will be a turning point for a stop to all the pointless hatred between others. The only way to go is for reconciliation between the people, it will not be easy but it is not impossible either. There are genuinely good people out there, Serb and Albanian, and it is those people who I truly hope will make the effort to at least try to get along.
Those who want to carry on as before should think of what they are doing and condemning future generations to if they carry on with their hate.
I don't care who runs a country as long as they do a good job for all and not just for their own ethnicity, I just don't believe the current people are the right people, crimes are not being punished by the people running the show against those fools who want to carry on creating discord and mayhem and that is the problem right now. How can people who want to live in peace do so when you've got the wrong man at the top?? that is my opinion and just because I say that doesn't mean I don't like Albanians, I just don't think Thaci is the man to bring people together.

This is a good start and I hope this will encourage people to choose the right way to go. The kids and their future deserve a chance for a better and peaceful co-existence I only hope those nut jobs stop preaching and teaching hatred to their kids and teach them to get along and look after each other instead, both Serbs and Albanians.

You are a lot closer than most but not as close as you think you are. You remind me of the people in America in the 60's and 70's who thought they were not prejudiced because they were nice to a black person at work.
You say Thaci is a criminal and murderer. And what are you basing that on other than the Serbian media and politicians and talk at the local coffee bars?
You say that people have a right to live in the land they are born, that is what Albanians wanted and then it was taken away. Remember the Albanians who fought back were alone at first against a well financed and trained army. The only way for them to get weapons were illegally. Do you know of a legal way they could get what they needed to fight the increased violence displayed toward the Albanians by Milosevic?
But today do you think he is any more dirty than the Serb politicians? or probably 75% of the politicians around the world?
Serbs have a right to live in Kosovo and they have the right to every freedom and chance of happiness that an Albanian has but that does not mean that in order for them to be happy Kosovo should be under Serbian rule.
The Ahtissaari Plan gives the Serbs special rights to insure those rights, and the international community is firmly behind protecting those rights but not returning Kosovo to Serbia.
I agree 100% with your comments. Way to go buddy. We need peace. Not all Albanians are like these two creeps talking numbers and antiquity. Let's live in present for the future but lest not forget. Hopefully some of your Serbians my Albanians will get on board with the likes of you and I.
