Here's the ad we're seeing on U.S. TV - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKUrYf1z9Bg - maybe it will lighten the mood around here. (Geez, what a bunch of grumps showed up today.)

No idea what you're talking about Comm. Kosova's laws and ministers have to meet the approval of our EU masters, so if anyone is allowing criminals to flourish, it's the EU. p.s. and no, we haven't exported war criminals, unlike our heavenly brothers

Unlike Kosovo, which doesn't export its criminals, but even attracts all sort of criminals and dubious figures from countries to come (back) to this nice, lawless place where they don't have to fear to be arrested. Instead they might be rewarded to become 'ministers' in this government if they have enough dirty money, like Mr. P...i

15000 young ones in one year!!! Croatia is paradise...except to its own people.

One more tning, how many of those fancy sportscars do Croatia sell per year? 1, 2? Yes I can see that manufakturing this car is feeding half of Croatias allready wealthy population. Every other European is driving one. Ha ha ha! What a guy!
(MikeC, 10 May 2013 19:28) MikeC why all this unpleasantry. A never mind politicians they will say anything for a vote. Yes Croatian young are leaving like my two cousins one to Texas to study engineering and another to Switzerland something to do with aviation studies. Then you have others returning back to beautiful http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hCazYqft-Y&NR=1 Croatia with different degrees but thank you for your concern. I hope Fiat 500 sells well a lot of the components are manufactured in Croatia for it. The Super car 20 to 30 a year. The Docking XD as many as their is a demand in the market for them. Especially when gas prices get very expensive.

Sheldon we Croatians are making modern Super cars [link] not dinosaur cars that are even powered by remains of dinosaurs. Funny thing it is being bought by Gulf States Sheiks do the know something. Here is a another modern in production 100% Croatian [link] manufactured car the Docking electric car.
(Lenard, 10 May 2013 17:53)

Well Lenard if you think concept cars are impressive then you should think again, there are plenty of 100% Serbian concept cars, example: the Exona concept car http://www.autoevolution.com/news/exona-concept-car-comes-from-serbia-51046.html the real challenge is funding, profitability, success and export, which will NEVER be achieved by either Serbian or Croatian concept cars simply because both countries don't have a reputation in world markets in automotive industry, but maybe if the old Zastava cars were invested in they could been successful, yet Zastava still manufactures buses and lorries that you lot heads buy!

It would have been much better if Serbia could have attracted VW or Toyota or Honda to manufacture cars there but time will tell if Fiat can compete in the developed markets with their models. As far as Lenard is concerned he probably drives a BMW like I do so any other car is not worthy of competing with the "Ultimate driving machine".Shalom

lenard, i'm confused. since croatia is lodged between serbia and italy, and as you say fiat is good enough in those countries, then what is it that croatians drive? all of a sudden croatia, a soon to be inferior player in eu is to outclass italy, one of the bedrock nations of the eu? sure.
but for your sake, i would suggest you buy up all the prosek you can get your little hands on. see once croatia joins eu, italy, those poor fools who drive fiats, will block the production and sales within eu of prosek.
eu is good for croatia. many lost jobs, now losing who branches of economy. you'd better hope the fiats are sold in croatia soon. otherwise you might be looking to india to supply your cars.

What kind of car is Serbia going to export to the US?
I hope B92 is not talking about Fiat cars.

That's like saying Mexico is going to export Chrysler cars to the US!
(are you kidding me, 10 May 2013 14:35)

The article mentions it, of course FIAT cars, FIAT is the only car factory in Serbia, besides some vans and assembly of buses with European components or chassis.

And yes, it is like saying Mexico exports Chrysler cars to the US. Did you grow up in good old commie times that you still think states own car factories, produce and export cars? If you talk about Chinese exports, for example, it's clear that exports of goods made by factories in China are meant.

A jealous croat and an even more jealous albanian. Whether this car will be popular on the americsn market only time sill tell but at least Serbia has something to export. Then again so do croats, who export second class weapons to contribute to the killing of civilians in Syria. And albanians who's only export is a majority of its uneducated and backward population and heroin.

The pretty Polish-built Fiat 500 is too small for Americans to squeeze their blubber into. The Serbian-built 500L (L for Large) is also probably too small for Yankee backsides.

To break into the American market, Fiat will need to bring out the 500XL.

Lenard, these 500s will go like hotcakes. Smaller cars are becoming a status symbol in the United States due to the popularity of Minis, "New" Bugs, and smart cars. Where it is true that the current target demographic for this type of vehicle remains predominantly female, I believe mere 3000 cars a month is under the market (affordable Mini version) demand.
