I know the truth hurts ! And, we all know who's fate was sealed! Stalingrad was leveled, Moscow was a spitting distance away from the 3rd reich, Russians were starving & resorted to eating dead dogs, and even resorted to cannabalism! Serbs resistance, if any, was basically wiped out by a few German regiments, you Serbs only had a few isolated sanctuarys in the mountains, living like wild cavemen in caves belonging to wild animals! Not until d-day, when the Germans had to send many divisions & equipment to protect the western front, was there a chance for the Russians to take the offensive against the Germans! As for the Serbia, if it wasn't for the English & Americans cooperating and equipping communist "Tito", a Croat, Yugoslavia was already defeated, the Chetniks had long before capitulated And, read your history very carefully, Tito had many non-Serb fighters within his resistance! I think you are very well aware of the point I'm trying to make here bud! You Serbs are # 1, and very good at celebrating victories that were won on other people's struggles & sacrifices! Enjoy your phony victory!

@Rocky, Yugoslavia liberated herself from the fascists with the Partisan and Cetnik movements and did not need to wait for outside help. Thanks to Russia and UK and USA fascism fell in Europe and Europe was free again.

Serbia and Russia have every reason to celebrate victory day and peoples who contributed nothing whatsoever to that victory should simply keep quiet. As for US saving Europe, you obviously haven't read anything about the battle of Kursk or that of Stalingrad. By June 1944 and D-Day the fate of the war in Europe had already been sealed. Go open a history book first and then post your ridiculous comments.

So such politically correct statements I find as unjust. Best if Serbs stick to what Aleksandar Antić said - “We are one of the nations who gave the biggest sacrifice in fight against fascism”.
Now that the West is trying to rewrite the WW2 real story we have to be more aggressive to defend the lorry of our grandfathers. Say two days ago the Presidents of Poland and France celebrated our Victory together in Paris. The USSR has saved the two mentioned countries from the Nuremberg Tribunal as well as Serbs has saved the Croats from the same court.
