It does not get any better than this brain trust here. I’m so glad you’re an Albanian because I’d be embarrassed if you were a Serb.

Oh, I suggest you get your head out of your a*** and get some new information because those figures you quote are old. Its May 2013 not 2001.

I strongly recommend you buy a dictionary as it appears English is a second language for you. The look up what junk status means, but I suppose an Albanian living of social security like you than means sound economics.
(sj, 9 May 2013 00:22)

Actually I did open a dictionary to check what "today" meant since I referred to "today" numbers, and indeed, today is 2013. But I do perfectly understand that Malaysia might run in a different calendar and 2013 for the rest of the world is 2001 there...

Dragane,

Thanks for the advice, but I like myself just fine.

Kostunica has good prospects? He went from 12% last elections to 7% this one. Next elections, he won't make the 5% due to further bleed-off to Dveri.

Seriously, though. Since you know what's best for Serbia, why don't you come and be that saviour?

Dragan

pre 10 godina

why don't you come and be that somebody?
(Danilo, 7 May 2013 14:27)

Are you inviting me for a beer Danilo? If you don't bring your extremist albo and Croat friends, captain frisco, I'll consider it. Serbia already has good prospects with Kostunica, but the public there has been so bombarded with western (NATO) brainwashing propoganda that they seem to be in daze. As for you, you're not in a daze, you're just a self-hating Serb with very limited intellect, the same condition as Ceda Jovanovic. You should seek psychiatric help so you don't hate yourself so much.
Cheers!!

(sj, 7 May 2013 13:21)

No problem; don’t sweat it… Malaysia is far away, so it’s understandable not knowing something in regards to the opposite side of the globe :)

It has now become evident to even a child that the EU is not a fast track to prosperity as Slovenia has proven it once and for all. Here we have a country that went into the EU relatively well off and now 6 years later stands on the same edge as most of the EU – Moody’s has relegated Slovenia to junk status meaning it can’t borrow money as no one would lend it.
(sj, 7 May 2013 13:21)

Of course, the World Bank data clearly shows that Slovenes are much worse off today at a GDP per capita (at PPP) of about USD 27,500 vs. 2003 when it was about 20,000. I’m sure the CE of B92 forums sj can confirm for the inexperienced readers that lower GDP per capita, means better life.
----------

Does anyone recall that the Croats are eagerly awaiting 11 billion Euros upon joining the EU? I’ll leave it to individual to guess what will happen there and Croatia is joining the EU in a far worse financial position than Slovenia did six years ago.
(sj, 7 May 2013 13:21)

Here I have to disagree with you because I can’t go against the genial analysis of the CE of B92 forums sj who has already shown that the EU is rich enough to even pay bonuses to the Serb leaders for selling Kosovo.

"Yes what we should learn is that creating artificial superstates based on ideology always leads to collapse."
(Ari Gold, 7 May 2013 14:23)

No, what we should learn is that creating artificial superstates makes no sense, the future is to create a voluntary union of independent states with some common rules and terms, like the EU us. Furthermore, we should learn that no country/province/whatever can be kept within a state with force if the people living there don't want it. And from Czechoslovakia and even the Soviet Union we should have learn that artificial superstates can be dissolved peacefully - but some people were resistant to learning :)

Speaking about the conflict in the former Yugoslavia, Dačić said that "the crimes were committed on all sides," while now was the time to heal the wounds of the past - but that "looking back helps no one, instead serving only to deepen the conflict." Dačić up to his BS games as usual ya don't look at Serbia the protaginator. Also the 96% + being Serbs convicted by international court as being war criminal the likes not seen since WW2 all a big coincidence for Dačić. A Serbia that stole the weapons and used it mercilessly. To conduct pogroms of ethnic cleansing ,destruction ,pillaging ,rapes ,murder ,on other former Yugo republics and their unarmed citizens for a greater expansionist war mongering Serbia. Also the affront in the country of Bosnia a a never existing "Srpska" aka greater Serbia. No one has to wonder why Serbia gets no where with all its BS of lies it tries to put out. Croatia should just hold the line and sue Serbia like it is doing for all its inspired destruction ,thefts http://english.blic.rs/Economy/8032/Croatian-companies-shall-sue-Serbia-if-it-sells-their-property even continue to this shameful day in Serbia!

"The question of drawing the borders is a red rag in the EU, as many countries fear that this example could be copied. I understand the sensitivity of the issue, and do not insist on that discussion," the Serbian prime minister said..

They are attempting to redraw Serbia's border, and it is being copied elsewhere, like South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Catalonia, Republika Srpska, Flanders, etc... what are they afraid of?

So basically, it has nothing to do with something being copied, it is just Germany making a mess of Europe once again, by destroying Yugoslavia and attempting to create a larger version of it.

Never mind, Serbia in the EU can do much more damage than out. But I doubt the EU will be around long enough for Serbia to ever become a member.

"in Europe there has been almost no reaction" to the nationalistic tones coming from Albania

There is a general election campaign going on in Albania and main political parties are desperate for every single votes...

The thing is that Albanian "nationalism" has never been against other nations. The history speaks for itself. Rest everyone assured that Albanians wherever they live HISTORICALLY are in their own land, in different states. It wasn't their choice to live in different states.

"The disintegration of Yugoslavia was a bloody story. From it we should all learn a lesson. For us there is only one perspective, and it's called Europe.

Yes what we should learn is that creating artificial superstates based on ideology always leads to collapse. For Balkan politicians Yugoslavia was yesterday what the EU is right now. Even many of today's biggest EUrophiles in Eastern Europe actually started their careers as members of communist parties.

Dacic no different. Started his career no doubt as a Titoist, then joined his mentor on a nationalist bandwagon only to now become a "liberal reformist". They are chameleons, they change colors like you or I would change clothes.

Mr. Dacic is correct. Joining the EU is not just about money. It is about creating a functional democracy. It is about creating public institutions that serve and are available to everyone in the country. It is about individual rights. And most importantly it is about being part of a union of countries that share these admittedly "idealistic" goals.

This idiot gets more stupid and treasonous by the day. He sounds even more slavish than Tadic with his 'no alternative' Orwellian BS. There are many options for Serbia, the best one being to give the EU the middle finger and control your own currency and finances, devalue the dinar as required to give Serbia a huge trade advantage over its bootlicking neighbors. But I don't expect a useless simpleton like Dacic to understand market economics and the basics of sovereignty, he's now a tool of the Fourth Reich and the NATO war criminals who write his speeches for him. Just watch, Kandic and Biserko are going to sing his praises. Serbia is polluted with traitors, the main problem is from within. Let's hope somebody wakes up over there.

I strongly recommend you buy a dictionary as it appears English is a second language for you. The look up what junk status means, but I suppose an Albanian living of social security like you than means sound economics.
