Pessimistic people in the comments, i'll tell you what will happen, serbia WILL get the date in june, and you'll all see, and there'll be no new conditions, i am not a fan of the EU, but i am very supportive of european integration and reforms, then the EU accession referendum decides whether we join the "titanic" as some call it or the "frying pan", yet i don't see Poland in trouble(2%GDP growth) or Slovakia(3.3%) or Hungary(1.7%) or Czech republic(1.7%) or Baltic nations(5.9%/5.5%/2.4%), maybe because they didn't adobt the Euro yet (though estonia did and has a GDP growth of 2.4%!), but i mean, let's be realistic, financial crisises don't last forever, and the "titanic" still has a chance to avoid drawning, let's be optimistic, i mean if we put econmics aside and look at the social benefits, such as the freedom of travel that EU citizens enjoy, serbians will not need to obtain a visa anymore to go to all EU countries and stay as long as they please and look for a job, many countries also lift visa restrictions on EU citizens (canada, australia, new zealand,USA....) i see these as huge benefits, some here won't agree as I bet they already have an EU passport so they don't need another one, but they "cannot let their beloved country join the bad EU club", awwh i feel the love for your country so much!

No new conditions? We still haven't figured out what the old conditions are. We can't even figure out what the Serbs get from the old conditions. So far it looks like nothing.

I think Dacic must have stumbled and tripped holding a pen and accidentally scratched something on that paper that looked like an initial and Ashton fixed to make it look real. And then Ashton threatened to beat him if he didn't agree that he signed it.

Is there another possible explanation?

LOL! No new conditions until the end of 2014. Another defeat we Serbians will be celebrating! Poor US, EU (i.e. Germany) and Albanians.

Hang on there Zoran and everything is not lost yet.Haven't you noticed that all news coming out from the EU are depressing ones?Since the economic crisis started 5 years ago Emperor Barroso has been predicting for each subsequent year that things will get better and the opposite is happening. Now let me make my own prediction. The Euro is already dead and the funeral will be held pretty soon maybe in 2014.Slovenia won't cause the fatal blow,it will be Italy followed by France( both will suffer massive GDP contractions this year and next).

Enlargement? Barroso is having a laugh.

"EU date for Serbia without new conditions"

Just imaginative reinterpretations of old conditions. The EU and its selective 'Rule of Law'....
