Unity of Serbian people is the only guarantee for the prosperity of Serbia. No matter the subjective opinion, we all have to support the decision of the majority, and the future will show if we were right

Dacic is wise with Serbian traditional mentality of inat..

They delay the inevitable and then dispute the outcome when final decision is not in their favor.

Sort of like a sportsman first agreeing to abide by the rules and then towards the end when he senses himself loseing he cowardly changes the rules or created excuses for his failure.

Then to promote revenge they celebrate " heroic" lose.

Serbs are fortunate to have Dacic attempt to bring them to their assumed senses.

I am reading your comments and it seems that they are all about food. In the last one you mentioned stew, and in this one a sandwich. This is not an article about cooking, but about a very important issue for Serbia. And Vucic gave a fair proposition. Ok for referendum but if you respect what was voted.

"for example they made a deal with Greeks to give Albanian territory away so they can fill their own pockets, and they are letting the turkes change our history to make turkey look like they were not occupiers, when in fact Albanian suffered the most from Turkish occupation."

--Toni, the constitutional court in Albania declared the deal to be unconstitutional. It prevented the deal from even reaching the parliament. Now compare this with Serbia. Their constitutional court copped- out on all these deals with Kosova. All they have is talk about a promised, illusory referendum which most likely wont happen. K. Serbs will get angry and then they will hold a referendum just for them.

The govt in Albania is sucky but when it comes to important issues such as territory even Berisha's hand-picked judges where able to see the stupidity of their leader and stop it before it was too late. Not sure this is happening in Belgrade.

Toni

pre 11 godina

At least the government in Serbia is leaving it up to the people to decide, and not like Albania where the ruling party decide for everything, in Serbia government thinks for the future of their country, even though I don't agree with their policy toward Albanians, the Albanian and Kosova government decide on their own without asking the people much, for example they made a deal with Greeks to give Albanian territory away so they can fill their own pockets, and they are letting the turkes change our history to make turkey look like they were not occupiers, when in fact Albanian suffered the most from Turkish occupation.

If a referendum is held I predict that the vast majority of Serbians will stand behind the Church and not the politicians. It is a mistake to underestimate the influence of the Church. Vucic's threat to resign and the fall of the government should the referendum not go his way is nothing short of dirty blackmail but at least I give the man credit for agreeing to put this very important matter to a public vote. And all this fuss to just get a date to get into the European Union! The Union is alsomt dead, once Spain falls its all over, one by one the union will fall apart. One needs only to see what is happening in Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Romania and of course Spain. One only needs to see that France and England want out! This is the club that Vucicic is so desperate to get into!? And at what cost, the heart of Serbia!? "Kosovo"? I predicate that if a referendum is held over 60% will be against this deal! But I do not think Vuicic will make good on his threat and resign.

Helga Klein

In the end it is utmost dramatic. KSerbs and their supporter defend not their people but their expected wealth as many for the risks of a siege had tried to - see the fatal consequences after WWII - reach out to your neighbour and find business and understand to support him - no need to love him. After all security measures and assistance by your Leaders can be requested in unjust questions. Do not down turn your excellent future.

UNE

Again we come back to my prediction. There will be a referendum and Serbs in Serbia proper will say yes to letting Kosovo go. mark my words and then Spain and the rest of the world will soon extend their warm recognitions.

PART III
Even more:
“…integration of all police in northern Kosovo to the Kosovo Police.”
“…integration and functioning of all judicial authorities within the Kosovo legal framework”
“Municipal elections, according to the agreement will be organised in the northern
municipalities in 2013 with the facilitation of the OSCE.”

And if you think that’s all, you’re wrong:

"This agreement foresees inter alia that discussions on Energy and
Telecoms will be intensified by the two sides and completed by June 15 2013."
Since Kosovo hasn't anything to offer on those two topics, Serbia, again, will pay the bill.

“"The EU also expects that the two parties, in the spirit of the new understanding/relation
between them and without prejudice to the positions on the status of Kosovo, will continue to
work further for the normalisation of relations between them and in this framework will address, among other issues, Kosovo's integration/participation in international bodies."
“The Commission recalls its recommendation of October 2012 that the steps leading to the
normalisation of relations between Belgrade and Pristina should also be addressed in the
context of the framework for the conduct of future accession negotiations with Serbia.”

I think we all know how the EU reacts if their "expectations" are not met :)
REFERENDUM NOW!!!

Joachim

pre 11 godina

"Several days after the initialing of the Brussels agreement there is a fierce campaign against it in a part of the public, a campaign that is understandable from the point of view of Kosovo Serbs, but which contains untruths, and I would dare say also lies."
Is that so Mr Vučić?
Let’s talk about the facts, for to finish with ALL lies:
PART I
The joint report of the EC and the High Representative (22/04/12) states:
"...the two parties agreed to adopt an implementation plan by 26 April"
This means, the same day parliament eventually will convene to discuss the agreement!
That's democracy in action, a real European value!

What has been done so far?
Until now you’ve established and implemented a border between Serbia and Kosovo :
“The most important was IBM implementation. By the end of December 2012 four Gates,
including the two Gates in northern Kosovo, were operational and, since the end of February
all six Gates between Serbia and Kosovo are operational.”
and you have recognized ID cards of the Republic of Kosovo:
“…Regarding free movement, the ID card travel regime is operational and works well.”

Kosovo Serbs now need ID papers and car plates of the Republic of Kosovo (without prejudice to the positions on the status of Kosovo, LOL)

Peggy

(trudsaam, 25 April 2013 18:04)

Referendum is against interests of of Serbs that live in Kosovo. The outcome would put them in a difficult position.
(Kiza, 25 April 2013 18:00)

Serbs in Kosovo are already in a difficult if not impossible position. They are attacked on almost daily basis, whether it be their cemeteries, places of worship, homes and themselves.
The only thing left is for Albanians to declare war and mobilize. Is that what you are talking about?

Jelko

Why a referenum? We have enough time lost from nineties fighting against Milosevic. We are tired of Croatia, Bosnia and Kosovo. We want peace and prosperity in the country. We want to work and order in the country. We want a European standard and European life. Now when we get a chance it's time to use it. Twenty years mend ends meet and look at how the individuals at the expense of the state rich, looting, killings ... I want my children to live in peace.

After all security measures and assistance by your Leaders can be requested in unjust questions. Do not down turn your excellent future.

I am reading your comments and it seems that they are all about food. In the last one you mentioned stew, and in this one a sandwich. This is not an article about cooking, but about a very important issue for Serbia. And Vucic gave a fair proposition. Ok for referendum but if you respect what was voted.

It's entertaining how many Serbs try to ignore the inevitable fact that they will fight a vicious civil war worse than Srebnica.

Serbia is doomed to collapse and eventualy disappear from Europe.

Serbia 6,000,000 VS North Kosova 60,000

Do the thugs expect 1% pop. Serbs to dictate to the 99%?

Serbia's future is in the EU and the sooner the implanted settlers realize this the better.
Belgrade shouldn't no longer be hostage to Serb TERRORISTS.

Vučić, however, said that a referendum would be called "with the condition that everyone would be under obligation to accept the answer of the majority".
Sounds fair to me, under one condition however:
To agree on the question first, in order to avoid a remake of the ICJ disaster.

I have stated several times that Belgrade made a mistake in not including a representative from Kosovo in rhe Brussels talks. An elected official that represents Serbs living in Kosovo would have made a lot more sense, than someone like Nikolic in Brussels. Maybe all parties woul have been satisfied, and a referrendum would not be needed now. It would be like Tirana making a deal for Albanians in Kosovo, without their voice being heard. Problem is, Serbian politicians are used to ruling, not governing.

Let's see what Serbia wants but it will be tough because in Serbia not only Serbs live and all the other ethnic groups are very likely to side with the Albanians and want to accept this agreement.

I wonder why Albanians are wanting us to accept this so badly. Geez, could it be because the agreement is good for them?

We want to work and order in the country. We want a European standard and European life. Now when we get a chance it's time to use it. Twenty years mend ends meet and look at how the individuals at the expense of the state rich, looting, killings ... I want my children to live in peace.

What do you mean the entire Serb nation? I know you will get all the right answers from all the non Serbs who live in Serbia. That's a given and some more from misguided and greedy Serbs but I don't think you will get a majority.

pre 11 godina

Joachim

pre 11 godina

PART III
