"Besides Kosova's situation is completely different then that of Bosnia's! Kosova, was exclusively inhabited by a 97% Albanian majority & has been so for 100s & 100s of years! "
(Rocky, 25 April 2013 03:55)

Sorry, totally wrong. 100 years ago Kosovo was inhabited by about 50% Serbs, and even 20 years ago, by about 30%. The 97% Albanians in Kosovo of today are simply a result of people leaving and ethnic cleansing, just like in RS.

This time there's no Sloba to help them.

Also there's no George Maniakes in Kosovo to help albos.

"Kosova has been recognized by 99 countries, which is more than half of UN members. So, what are you waiting for? You will get about 3-5 recognitionS and that is IT. Than, What???"

Then, RS can consider itself a independent state, just like Kosovo does, and Dodik can see himself the great founder of RS, just like Thaci does in Kosovo. But in reality, and for the ordinary citizens, nothing will change or improve.

Indeed after what happened with Serbia and Kosovo, things have defiantly changed in the Balkans. If EU and USA strongly believe in freedom of speech, freedom of expression and freedom to choose, then Republika Serpska and Croats have the right to succeed, other wise their is no democracy in EU.Croats and RS are just as special case as Kosovo is even more so now then before. No country can now say to Republika Serpska NO.

RS doesn't need to secede. They have everything the need. Unlike Kosovo which is poor and isolated for thinking it can be a country on its own.

Rocky

Nebojša, I'd be very careful with the statements you are making? You will not be facing the unarmed Bosnia of the 1990s! And I'll bet, the Bosnians are just waiting for the right time to strike back at the RS & Serbia!
Besides Kosova's situation is completely different then that of Bosnia's!
Kosova, was exclusively inhabited by a 97% Albanian majority & has been so for 100s & 100s of years!
In Bosnia, there never existed a RS prior to Serbia's war of ethnic cleansing & genocide agains the civilian Bosnian population!!!

I think the last couple of years there have been underground negotiations for the three way partition of bosnia.the serbs will swap land and people in the west around thr drvar, golmac area to the bosnians so they can form a countinious entity from central bosnia to bihac the croats have tere entity and both the croats and bosnians are peepared to cede the territory of brcko and the surronding areas so that the rs will be countinous as well.RS will seed areas around srebenisca and Vlasenica as well to the new bosnian state

Fantasy world legislation passed in Banja Luka is meaningless in the real world. Europe is sidelined by major issues, and isn't paying much attention to RS for now. There will never ever be an allowance for another Serb state; anyone who thinks differently is incredibly confused, and frankly doing a purposeful disservice to their people. And, it's all smoke and mirrors by RS politicians, who clearly have no plan or ability to create or fix it's economy - and it is that continuous falling behind your neighbor countries that will weigh on your citizens. There is much unwritten ill will from western powers on what Serbia did to the Balkans, and, like it or not, they will not allow an independent RS - it would be a landlocked basket case, far moreso than even residents of BiH feel they are today. As time passes, the healthy and needed Serbian catharsis will put any future aspirations and expectations of a so-called independent RS to bed. And above all, RS independence will not change or improve RS's chances for prosperity.

"Why waiting? RS cannot separate without Croats and Bosniaks agreeing to that."

Avni

Oh really! You mean like Kosovo couldnt seperate without serbs? Do you think before you write or are you just dumb?
Besides geting the croats on board in not a problem. They have their part of Bosnia and want to legalize it.
Sooner or latet RS will become independent.

whatever step RS takes if the west doesn't support it which seems like this case it will be just pointless , but I like to kick EU`s as* they are the ones who want to decide for the Balkan`s people future , and this is unacceptable , people of Balkan should decide about themselves , but in the first place politicians should work together and put ethnic hatred on the side otherwise there won`t be any solution. I always said redraw borders through ethnic lines but hey nobody wants to hear about it so let`s keep trashing each-other maybe we`ll stop after 100 years when we get tired and bored...

He stressed that the Republic of Srpska (RS) parliament had adopted a declaration according to which the RS would have the right to secede once a half of the UN members recognized Kosovo.

His statement came after frequent drawing of parallels between the RS and Kosovo.

Same for RS in the case of Bosnia.
HOWEVER....
If the West continues on this path regarding Kosovo than indeed the West must agree that rules have changed.
As I stated multiple times before: rules apply to all or none!

Kosovo, Tibet, Taiwan, Abkhaiza, RS, Basque, Karabakh!
