US during George Dubya time
---------------

Peggy, unlike the US with it's "First Past the Post" system, Serbia has a system of proportional representation. So, unlike in the US (and I also think Australia. I'm not going to look it up), where parties who get 30-40% of the popular vote can end up with 100% of the power.

24% of Serbs voted for SNS, they have 24% of the seats.

So, what exactly are you trying to say?

Keep dreaming according to your own deputy minister Selimi you wont be able to enter north without NATO permission at least for a few years.
(Daniel, 24 April 2013 13:35)

Woow, Serbs have really come around to get to the point of relying on NATO's word. Yes, NATO, which until a few days ago, according to true Serb patriots in these forums, was the evil and the occupier of Serb land in Kosovo (aka the craddle of Serbdom) :)

Keep dreaming according to your own deputy minister Selimi you wont be able to enter north without NATO permission at least for a few years. Petrit Selimi, Kosovo’s deputy minister of foreign affairs, said Kosovo agreed not to deploy its security forces in the Serbian region for an unspecified number of years, except during emergencies like earthquakes. Even in that event, a senior NATO official said, the security forces would need authorization from NATO peacekeepers in Kosovo.

Just another proof that you have no power whatsoever in the north.
(Daniel, 24 April 2013 13:35)

This is why I said in my original comment "If they [Serbs] won't respect the agreement, don't expect others to respect it either. The Kosovan Army and Air Force will go north and enforce the law. It is time to crack down on crime."

We will respect the agreement as long as the Serbs do. Us keeping our forces out of the North depends on the agreement being respected and implimented by the Serbs. Remember NATO is on our side here, we will be able to get NATO authorization.

Serbia needs to cut ties with these Kosovo Serbs let them go, Serbia is better off with out them just look at the past. Kosovo Serbs started the chain of events that lead to the brake up of Yugoslavia, which cost 200,000 lives, 2million displaced and billions of dollars worth of damage. So many lives effected which will take generations to heal. They are spreading propaganda through Serbia "Kosovo is Serbia" which dosnt mean anything the whole world doesnt care what Serbia thinks. Kosovo Serbs will hold Serbia back in the past and wont let it move forward and make better future for the country. Only good future for Serbia is in the EU the reason beign Serbia is alone NO counrty will support them not even Russia. Russian exports to EU is 60% of total exports do you think they will risk that for Serbia.

Everything down there is so messed up. You have territory who was Serbian for centuries and now it is occupated by NATO under excuse of protecting albanian civilians and their human rights. No body said nothing about Serbian civilians and their rights as natives on that land but ok.War is lost for Serbia and now there is only diplomatic way to fight and that is what we do. Now we have situation in which Serbian civilians needs protection but there is no one to stand up for them. Finaly after years of war Serbian government accepted to make some kind of deal which would might protect Serbs who's rights are threatened for decade and more. Now when deal is made 2/3 of Serbs(which live in enclaves on south) which lives realy are threatened do accept help from Serbia, but rest of 1/3 Serb population on north which are well conected with mother Serbia refuse that(only possible)solution. Somebody is obviously using that poor people on north of KiM for his own interest and that people will only suffer for that kind of acting. If they continue with refusing this solution they might get stuck in problem because albanians are just waiting to be provoked and make a brake trought with NATO backup. If this happens Serbia will not be able to help and north of KiM goes to albanian hands. This agreement is the only way at this moment, but diplomacy works its way...

Serb politicians still don't get it. The result of this stupid decision is that half the world now thinks Serbia recognized Kosovo which will result in many nations recognizing Kosovo. The Serbian nation is divided and fighting eachoter and the Eu will never let Serbia enter if the Eu even still exist in its current form by that time (Thaci and his gang must be laughing their ass off). As a Dutchman and history student I always sympathized with the Serbian people, especially after the wars in which Serbia had the historical truth on its side but ended up as the Nation chosen to take all the blame since most nations did not understand a bit op the complex wars and history of the region and others chose their past friends against Serbia. That;s why half the world supports a pseudo nazi state like croatia while Serbian leaders are in jail for made up nazi like crimes. I had such high hopes when Nikolic and Dacic came to power but with this stupid decision I lost all hope. I'll always be a friend of Serbia and I will always defend them in debate on the street or in university but it seems now all hope is truly lost.

They aren't Serbians but "neo-titoists" now? LOL

You made what could be called an appeal to purity as a way to dismiss relevant criticisms or flaws of your argument. In this form of faulty reasoning your belief is rendered unfalsifiable because no matter how compelling the evidence is(Nikolic, Vucic and Dacic really ARE Serbian), you simply shift the goalposts so that it wouldn't apply to a supposedly 'true' example. This kind of post-rationalization is a way of avoiding valid criticisms of your argument.

They are Serbian and live with it. Stop making excuses for them giving up the fight.

The bandits are at it again! Pristina is going to hit you with so many lefts that you will beg for more rights! Serbia signed the agreement. You guys are on your own. You guys are going to get smacked senseless!

We know why they are upset. They might have to get an education now and get a legit job. The days of smuggling, gun running, drug dealing and theft are coming to an end.

Stay strong Kosovo Serbs! You and your ancestors have endured 500 years of Ottoman terror, 100 years of Albanian terror, and almost five years of Nazi terror. It is only natural that you resist at all costs to be ruled by Muslims again who with their NATO war criminal allies have bad plans for you in mind. You have been sold out by a bunch of neo-Titoists who only care for their own false glory and whose plans will bring Serbia closer to its knees. So keep living in your Serbian homeland and ignore the so-called Kosovo Law for it will not apply to you if you chose to ignore it.

Belgrade needs NATO protection.

Kosova might help defend Serbia from SERB TERRORISM.LOL

Serbia's PM recieves death threats from the people he fought to help in North Kosova.

My advice...........

Serbia immediately cuts all financial, material, logisitic and other support.
Freeze there bank accounts, pensions, salaries, money transfers etc.

SERBIA MUST LOOK OUT WHAT IS BEST FOR 6,000,000 AND NOT 60,000..

The best outcome is STORM 2.

Serbia would save a lot of money by not feeding these ungrantfull peasants in the North of Kosova.

Great. Resist if you want. But Belgrade will force you to implement the deal, because if they dont, they jeopardize the Serbia-Kosovo agreement. Which automatically means no EU accession and also new talks with totally different circumstances.

Who wouldnt be frustrated losing two salaries, start paying taxes, electricity bills, water bills etc etc... Its sad seeing how they have become important while majority K-Serbs who reside in rest of Kosovo are simply forgotten, like they dont exist. Hopefully someone will shut their mouth and get over with it.

The don't want to accept the agreement because it means having the Police in the Wild West of the Balkans called Northern Kosova which is currently a lawless crime haven. If they North isn't policed these "entrepreneurs" won't be able to get away with the crime which is currently thriving in the North of Kosova. We all know what happens to the Police in Northern Kosova, they get shot at and Police stations get bombed.

If they won't respect the agreement, don't expect others to respect it either. The Kosovan Army and Air Force will go north and enforce the law. It is time to crack down on crime.

(Milan, 23 April 2013 16:14)

OK, these individuals have the right to make their choices. Now the negotiation will turn to Serbs in the North and Albanians in Prishtina. Anyone who thought this would be an easy process is an idiot. These Serbs don't want to change nationality. They have the human right to stay where they want. If everyone acts like civilized individuals, everything will work out well for all people concerned. Stay away from threats.

All the hundreds of football hooligans using Kosovo to have a party in the streets have gone home already. There is no opposition to customs border posts ambassador pavicevic eu membership for Kosovo lol

A matter of survival.

These people are crucified by NATO and their local bandits and yet somehow they refuse to die, because when they die, Serbia dies. Simple as that.

You Serbs in Serbia proper should abandon your dreams on becoming instant millionaires, "€Uropeans" (whatever that is) or whatever lies the quisling snakes in the US imposed puppet regime shoves down your throats. Fight for them, for yourselves and for your Serbian heritage1

Let It Go!

pre 11 godina

We will respect the agreement as long as the Serbs do. Us keeping our forces out of the North depends on the agreement being respected and implimented by the Serbs. Remember NATO is on our side here, we will be able to get NATO authorization.
