Petrit Selimi, Kosovo’s deputy minister of foreign affairs, said Kosovo agreed not to deploy its security forces in the Serbian region for an unspecified number of years, except during emergencies like earthquakes. Even in that event, a senior NATO official said, the security forces would need authorization from NATO peacekeepers in Kosovo.

Courts are run by the kosovo serbs, police commander chosen by the kosovo serbs and he will be a serb that Pristina MUST accept in order with the deal. Serbs will propose 3 names and Pristina has to accept one of them, do you really think he will be an albanian?Last but not least no kosovo forces can enter the north without NATO permission. Id say we got the best deal we could have. Last but not least the police force will be 98%serbs

Exactly... This is a great victory for Serbia. I'm sure that these guys http://www.b92.net/eng/news/politics-article.php?yyyy=2013&mm=04&dd=23&nav_id=85853 will come to realize it very soon, like you did. If they don't, I'm sure you'll volunteer to convince them and, you being a true Serb patriot, I'm sure they will trust you.

I do not understand why K-Albanians had been looking forward to this Agreement when they got nothing in particular. We have witnessed that Serbia has made great diplomatic efforts to protect K-Serbs and to halt the establishment of Kosovo's statehood of the total area. Furthermore, Serbia managed to obtain a positive opinion for negotiating date for joining the EU.

Daniel

Serbia has offered NO papers showing such an agreement nor what it entails. Just verbal rhetoric. NATO nor Kfor were involved in the Pristina Belgrade dialogue.
Are you sure that with only your elected leaders words to go on, there is actually such an agreement?

This whole agreement is about there not being any "kosova serbs" Serbs got no special rights on any issue in any way. Courts no - run by pristina, police no appointed by pristina. Kosova serbs got nothing and that was the best for Serbia.

The deal does not prevent Serbia from funding education and other services as it does now. According to Mr Dacic and Mr [Petrit] Selimi, the Kosovo Security Force, Kosovo’s de facto army, will not deploy in the north

Hard to believe that Mr. Alex Vuciq is "expect(ing) to find (a) solution with Serbs" --- lol it's funny the "with Serbs" part, as if he isn't a Serb as well. Maybe from now on bg politicians should start saying Kosovar minorities, it would make more sense since this inter-state agreement effectively changed their status from "citizens of Serbia" to "citizens of Kosovo"; feel free to interchange the noun citizen with people.

You are the epitomy of Serb mentality. Someone says that if the Serbs are not happy with the deal Belgrad made they can move to Belgrad and you turn that into a threat of murder.
As far as what the NATO commander said, I have yet to hear anything from NATO or Kfor, The Serbs are all talking about the agreement they secured and that it is part of the Brussels agreement. But you see nothing mentioned in the 15 points. You see nothing on the NATO or Kfor websites mentioning it. Serbia has offered NO papers showing such an agreement nor what it entails. Just verbal rhetoric. NATO nor Kfor were involved in the Pristina Belgrade dialogue.

Al-berto

The agreement was a good chance for Serbia to get s.th, which is meaningful to the K.Serbs in North Kosova. It is an insurance guaranted from EU and Kosova has to do a lot to show that the K.Serbs rights will be respected. On the other side the rule of law will be established in N.Kosova and normal citizens will run easily their lives.

If someone has got just a little bit memory, would remember that with the conference of Rambouillet Serbia lost everything, even those offered by the agreement they didn't agreed.

I'm really happy for both, Serbs and Albanians leaders who showed to be visionary and to serve to their peoples by contribuing to the peace.

Those Serbs or Albanians who still keeping alive the deeds of the past and don't have a vision for the future can keep barking.

I quite don't know how to say this... Well, let's put it straight: You spit on the spirit that has in times kept also Albanians standing against all odds, against rulings set upon them without their will and consent. This spirit does not take sides, it doesn't grow only on one side of any line or border. It may not exist as a product of intellect, in fact it often has very contrary character. But how many times we later hail with respect those who against all sense kept on fighting for what they felt was right, justful an honourable? Those who didn't give in to an overpowering force?

I most likely wouldn't do what North Kosovo Serbs may now do, but I still can respect and honour their resistance. What you do, gjon fusha, is kissing the sword of might and spitting on the spirit of resistance.

gjon fusha, what does Oluja in Croatia have to do with Serbs in the North of Kosovo? Are you suggesting that they should be forcibly removed from their homes, in many cases ancestral? Why do feel that Kosovo Albanians have more of right to their land there than the serbs to their's? The point of the article is, Belgrade made decisions for Kosovo Serbs without consulting them. That is not correct. I don't agree with these DSS hotheads, but I do believe that the Serbian population in Kosovo should have had a representative during the Brussels talks. The Serbian government was very secretive about what the agreements were during the entire negotiation process, they acted as if Serbia belonged to them, and not the people. “Without this and the agreement, Serbs might be again expelled from the province as in March 2004. This is the way to ensure security. The bad side of the agreement in the area of justice is the Kosovo justice system, since the Kosovo laws will have to be implemented,” Selaković said

I don't think I've ever heard or read a more contradictory statement. Has the Kosovo justice system stopped the killing of Serb civilians, desecration of Serb cemeteries and the burning of Serb churches south of the Ibar? We are one people, but unfortunately, strange interpretations are heard and philosophy might win battle over logic and pragmatism so that could be the problem. Where there is philosophy over the logic and commons sens there is no right solution. Pure heart and common sense should take us to the near past and make us conclude where where the truth lies . There is no need to be so smart and figure out what to expect if you do not pure logic. The methods are different, but the solution has to be good for all. Using wrong methods might get to the wrong conclusion and that is not good.

Why are you complaining about the 1mil albanians refugees (like operation storm) Perhaps that was the best decision the Serb autorities did at that time, unfortunalty you came back. Part 2 will come one day rembeber that!

I am glad you have the gut to admit what Serb authorities did in 1999, but you will never see the same movie ever again.

Serbs in Kosovo can not do without us, nor do we want to make it without them...we dont want to be separated with albanians on the south of Serbia, that is one more reason to stay in proper connection.

You are the epitomy of Serb mentality.
=======================
Coming from you it's meant to be an insult but we need more Serbs like Daniel.
You on the other hand is the epitome of everything Albanian and this is not meant to be a compliment (just in case you were wondering).

I hope that after this heated atmosphere calms down, Serbs from the North of Kosovo will realize that this was the best possible solution for now. Their life is not easy at all, but without excepting the propositions it would be impossible.

@gjon fusha: I amd surprised and shocked with your statement. I don't believe that you would do such a thing as Oluje even if you have the opportunity? You are so nice people, I would never expect such act of barbarism from you.

@Captain America: I am glad that you are happy and would appreciate if you can write me here a recipe for "tulumbe". Please, don't be offended, I am not joking, just I can't get them right.

This whole agreement is about there not being any "kosova serbs" Serbs got no special rights on any issue in any way. Courts no - run by pristina, police no appointed by pristina. Kosova serbs got nothing and that was the best for Serbia. FOr kosova serbs to get nothing and have nothing and there be total separation so Serbia can get in the EU. Kosova serbs got nothing. They have no power on issue in any way.

Vučić "expects to find solution" with Serbs

In other news Vulin resigns because his feelings were hurt.

The deal does not prevent Serbia from funding education and other services as it does now. According to Mr Dacic and Mr [Petrit] Selimi, the Kosovo Security Force, Kosovo’s de facto army, will not deploy in the north

Serbia has offered NO papers showing such an agreement nor what it entails. Just verbal rhetoric. NATO nor Kfor were involved in the Pristina Belgrade dialogue.
Are you sure that with only your elected leaders words to go on, there is actually such an agreement?
(a New Day, 23 April 2013 23:33)

Petrit Selimi, Kosovo’s deputy minister of foreign affairs, said Kosovo agreed not to deploy its security forces in the Serbian region for an unspecified number of years, except during emergencies like earthquakes. Even in that event, a senior NATO official said, the security forces would need authorization from NATO peacekeepers in Kosovo.

You said?
