MikeC what is the problem with seeing the facts. North Kosova was under Kosova serb control now it will be under total Albanian control with no autonomy for serbs in any way. Pristina will appoint its police chief and kosova troops will be allowed there whenever they say.

How did Vucic sell out his people? If you haven't noticed Kosovo is not under serb control. We didn't hand over Kosovo in these negotiations. What Vucic did was to hightlight the plight and the legitimate rights of serbs in Kosovo. What was negotiated goes beyond the Ahtisari plan. Their status have been recognized and they will have their right to run their own lives. The deal didn't include the recognition of Kosovo which means serbs and albanians are left to interpret Kosovos status any way they want. Besides, albanians are no rejoicing about the deal. I didn't see any albanians celebrating on the streets of Pristina. As long as serbs can run their own lives in norht Kosovo without albanian interfearance its good enough for me.
(MikeC, 21 April 2013 10:31)

Local affairs are dealt with local Municipalities anywhere in the civilized countries. But, if they step out of line the central government has to step in. So, in sense I agree with you, but I thought you claimed the cradle of Serbia is south of Ibar! I congratulate Serbia and Kosova for this agreement, despite the fact that criminal thugs up north would like to run their own affairs and hold hostage both countries. These same people have no desire to take orders from Belgrade either, since it suits their criminal agenda. Think about it!

Who is he kidding? If Kosovo still is a part of Serbia then why does Serbia negotiate with a part of its territory? That makes no sense. Serbia negotiates because it realises that in Kosovo exists a different political entity where the laws of the serbian state are not applied. The Serb politicians should be more frank and tell the people that Kosovo has been lost and cannot be regained through diplomacy in which Serbia is not very efficient anyway. Their efforts focus on minimising the losses. There's nothing wrong with that but they should be sincere and leave all this big talk about securing the future of the children or protecting the Kosovo Serbs. In this epoch we're living noone can secure or protect anything.
Anyway i think that the time is so crucial and the level of Serb politicians so low that this agreement should be presented to the serbian people and ratified by the people via a referendum. The shoulders of the Serb politicians are too small to bear this kind of weight.

Vucic, Kosovo is NOT a part of Serbia, no matter how many times you repeat it. It is not controlled by Serbia, and the degenerates are free to do as they please at the detriment of the Serbs. It's either we fight for it, or we let it go. This stupid repetition is becoming nauseating because there is a different reality on the ground. Keep repeating it and one day YOU (Vucic) might believe it! You have the support of the Russians, so get off your gutless a**.

(ivan, 20 April 2013 22:54)

Ivan - Thank you for that critical analysis. Its amazing how so many people out there forget about the past. Its amazing how many people are doomed by repeating the same mistake. Learn from your heroes like Milosevic and Mladic and Saddam and Qaddafi and hundreds of thousands of people buried in the ground or in jail that decided to take on the USA. They all believed that the USA would not fight. How stupid does one have to be to continue to believe that nonsense?

Push the USA, threaten them, attack them and they will mess your world up. Serbia got a taste of it in 1998 from 20,000 ft above. 38,000 sorties! No allied fatalities and only 2 aircraft shot down. Serbia capitulated after only 80+ days.

Stop the B/S Vucic, you sold out Kosovo. I've read the Serbian end of B92 that Vucic and Dacic are receiving death threats. In addition, The Kosovo Serbs are against the deal. The Serbian people are funny in some aspects. First, they elect the DS for the longest of time. These are the very people that started the selling process. They then vote for a spineless coward, such as Nikolic. Now they are threatening the very people they voted for. Dacic had his chance when he was allied with the DS. He simply could've broken the coalition, but he did not! Why? Because his political aspirations are more important than Serbia and the Serbs. Why didn't the Serbs vote for the Radicals or the DSS? I agree with Putin, the Serbs have to determine what is in their interest, then pursue it with Russia covering their backs, and this also means war. Russia would support them with the state of the art military equipment, but does the spineless Nikolic have the guts? I personally do not believe the US would have any support to do what they did in 1999 because Europe could not stomach that again. I think the US has their hands full with Iran and North Korea.

Well, Serbia is going to be allowed to continue to pay for schools and hospitals (not the police, though), so maybe he's got that in mind.

It's good that the EU insisted that he be included on the negotiating team - can you just imagine what he would be saying now about the agreement (not to mention Dacic) if the PM been the only one present? Now SNS supporters have to modify their stories a bit - Serbia got the best deal possible because Vucic was there. Even if his supporters are unhappy, they'll most likely not interfere with the agreement's implementation now. (VV is doing its best to reassure Serbs that they actually won by going after Thaci, but most people commenting on the story here at B92 don't seem taken in. Oh, well, it was worth a try.)

Serbs wherever they live, in Serbia, Kosovo or abroad it is not acceptable to make threats, in fact it is criminal. Which means you make threats = you are a criminal.

It is not easy to shoulder the responsibility of your government, this situations is as a result of a collective behavior of the last 20-30 years. I would not feel too sorry for SNS and SPS though as they have been responsible for much of what went on in the past.

One can not support their leaders one day because it suits you and threaten them the next because you no longer agree with them, considering they are trying their best.

Serbia does however have a strong Military, Police Force and Secret Services all currently controlled mostly by Vucic. I don't think there is anybody today that can seriously threaten Vucic and get away with it, and if this happens it only happens as he chooses not to do much about it, possibly because he hes more impotent tasks at hand, like leading his Party and the Country to a better future from the mess Serbia is in.

(VV is doing its best to reassure Serbs that they actually won by going after Thaci, but most people commenting on the story here at B92 don't seem taken in. Oh, well, it was worth a try.)

I saw the cell phone screen shots of the threats he mentions on B92 Serbian - problem is, they had yesterday's date and time, before the agreements were initialized. Now, I am not saying Mr. Vucic is lying, but strange for such an important man not to have his cell phone with the correct time/date settings, no?

@ivan: You seem to be slightly confused. If you didn't know, in Serbia live more than one individual so, as an example, those who threaten Nikolic are not the same ones that voted for him. Different people think and do different things. I hope that this helps.

Russia would support them with the state of the art military equipment, but does the spineless Nikolic have the guts?

Yeah, sure like Russia did in 2003 when Putin withdrew Russian soldiers from Kosovo.

@Winston

Nice spin. I can do that too. Look. Who will choose the regional police commander in N. Kosovo? Hmm? Its just words...

I personally do not believe the US would have any support to do what they did in 1999 because Europe could not stomach that again. I think the US has their hands full with Iran and North Korea.

LOL! The deal abolishes all links between Belgrade and Kosova serbs and makes it so that serbs have no power in kosova. Pristina appoints the police chief in serb areas? LOL! Belgrade has no power. How about the customs agents on the border and the ambassador dejan pavicevic!

MikeC what is the problem with seeing the facts. North Kosova was under Kosova serb control now it will be under total Albanian control with no autonomy for serbs in any way. Pristina will appoint its police chief and kosova troops will be allowed there whenever they say.
