Daniel you have become one of my favorite commenters. Most people believe that if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it must be a duck, but not you you still see a cow.

@Winston: I appreciate your argumentation that justice is not important and that "might is right", but I wouldn't say that this is my cup of tea. You understand that there are people prepared to defend what is right even when it is costly. Having a spine is not cheap, but this is an organ usually well developed in Serbs.

"Serbia is the most broken country in that region. Highest inflation in Europa, contracting economy, highest debt increase, one of highest unemployment, visa free regime on the verge to be lost, etc."

Actually I recently read that Serbia's exports have surged up double digits and that inflation is slowing.

Also, I thought the deadline had come and passed. Why is the EU still being so pushy? Serbia should stop dealing with the bullies.

@John: When I was there few months ago it was great; I mean relly good. Is it possible that things changed so much in just few months? Do you live in Belgrade or some other place?

Daniel, I am not happy with the work of the Serbian government at all. If you lived in Serbia, you would see that that is the opinion of most citizens. This team that is headed back to Brussels, are the same players that were instrumental in losing Kosovo in the first place. And Daniel, you have to admit Kosovo is lost. If not, go to Pristina and tell everyone there that it's Serbian land. I just hope these res of Serbia just sign his darn agreement, and end the agony for everyone. Many thing will change in Kosovo even after this agreement is signed, but this stalemate is getting no one no where.

We can wait 100 years, no problem whatsoever. The only thing that is in limbo is Kosovo, Serbia is already a sovereign state with a UN Seat, a COUNTRY.
(Daniel, 18 April 2013 19:29)

Serbia is the most broken country in that region. Highest inflation in Europa, contracting economy, highest debt increase, one of highest unemployment, visa free regime on the verge to be lost, etc. Short, a total mess which is only superseded by the calamtities of the 90s, but you are not so far from that. The country is already at all corners. You will not even last 100 months in that mess before you complete your implosion and the EU is not giving even a little bit. Just read here on B92 what Germany said. Not even an inch you will get and your surrender is only a matter of time. Just watch and see...

Cheers!

The Albanians have the Serbs right where they want them. All the Albanians have do is wait a few days and the problem will solve itself. If the Serb delegation goes home empty handed, on their return to Belgrade, heads will roll. Consequently, Serbia will be relegated to limbo for an indefinite period. Vulic knows this all too well, that is why he is looking so somber.

There is no reason whatsoever for "heads to fall" in Belgrade since everyone is happy and satisfied with the work of our politicians. Time is on our side and all we have to do is wait and the blackmails will finish, the EU gets softer and softer for each time we "negotiate" so by all means I wish this gets delayed for as long as it takes to get our demands through. In the mean time the albs will not be getting anywhere and will be as far away from a UN seat as ever :)

@The Count of Kosova: The Count is right. Taci is succeeding in his strategy of full integration into the Serbian system. He will replace Ivica Dacic as PM of Serbia and Vulin will be replaced by Hajrudin Kuci. This is the reason why Dacic and Vulin look sombre.

Express reports that Thaci told Ashton before leaving that his team would return (from Ljubljana) if he was assured that the Serbs were ready to sign. It may all be over. Congratulations all round.

Serbia can not accept responsibility for something that is outside her remit/power. Serbia does not decide who is a member and who is not a member of UN. Also, I would like to point out to an excellent comment from "Kosova-USA" on another article who elegantly demonstrated using Switzerland as an example that Kosovo does not need membership in UN. Therefore, solution is easy, just remove all references to international organizations.
