Ashton: Montenegro sets example in region

Crna Gora is a 'country' riddled with organised crime and corruption to the highest levels of government. Its PM is one of the richest statesmen on earth with a personal fortune greater than most European Monarchs and former US presidents! how is this possible in a very small and poor country? I wonder?

Indeed. A (former) prime minister being at least connected to the mafia is rather unusual in Europe - only the neighbor 'country' Kosovo has the same problem.

Catherin Ashton much like Mary Robinson are affirmative action appointees that have risen through the civil service ranks not on skill or ability by party patronage and the desire of all political parties to balance an old gender inequity. Thus you have this incredible statement about Montenegro – a place that has been declared a major money laundering country Ashton declares it a shining example of European integration.
Simply amazing

How could Ashton know anything about the criminal activities of Montenegro when she can't even identify the President of Serbia?

Damage control as per yesterdays article suggesting Montenegro as European hub for money laundering. similar patterns are used in Kosovo.. .the trolls bomb chuches, desecrate graves. .only for Brussels to push out a story about progess and tolerance in Kosovo. If Montenegro is a fine example of a country destined for EU integration then we can expect North Korea to be invited shortly followed quickly by another regional example of prim and proper government.....Kosovo. This woman quite frankly talks nonsense!!

Ms. Ashton sounds like an idiot -- praising Montenegro at the same time there's concrete evidence of ballot fraud in the presidential elections, and "Don" Djukanovic makes a million dollars on an investment fully funded by his brother's cash laundering facility - oops, I mean bank. Is she just incompetent?? I'm baffled by her statements.
