It seems that the Serbian government for the first time demonstrated commitment to protect the fundamental rights for K-Serbs and showed toughness in negotiations. By refusing blank paper Serbian authorities have achieved a small victory and increased her advantage in bargaining.

No that will never happen. Belgrade’s policy now is to keep the goal posts moving. They have presented the EU with unacceptable conditions. All that you see from Belgrade’s side is preparing the people who will say no to join the EU.

That's great that Belgrade's side also supports Kosovo's goal of doing all it can to not have Serbia becoming an EU member and be in a better position cause trouble for Kosovo. At least, we finally found a point of convergence between Serbia and Kosovo, i.e. prevent Serbia from becoming an EU member.

As usual some of the comments in here are just disgusting and usual get the highest ratings notable by radical Albanians an example. By Ardi Asllani.

(I know you have no time to wait, since Serbia will be worst than Cyprus in no time. People will starve, even though they are starving already.)

People in Kosovo and Albania are starving to. We know what you want an Greater Albania.

Let’s put aside all the spin. The EU is not in a position to offer Serbia anything as Croatia’s entry into the EU will prove. Brussels is battling to save the EU from topping over from debt let alone provide money for a better lifestyle..They should have done this many years ago not now.
Look at Slovenia; once a beacon of success today it’s bankrupt, but in the EU. We have regular demonstrations where people are asking their politicians where those promises of an even better lifestyle upon leaving Yugoslavia? It’s only now evident that the Slovenes were promised an even better living standard if they broke away.

Ultimately, Pristina has to give in to Serbia's demands. The debt ridden EU and US have many more important issues to address than continuously subsidizing Pristina, and without Serbia's permission under UNSC 1244, the status of Kosovo remains open and it can't get into the UN. Serbia can wait since it already has UN membership and a world outside of the EU to trade with. Under the UN charter and UNSC 1244, The Province of Kosovo is still disputed territory, otherwise it would have gotten a seat by now. It will remain disputed territory until Serbia says otherwise.

Since nobody knows exactly what either side offered, there's always the possibility of Belgrade accepting what had actually been offered weeks ago and presenting it as having been forced out of Prishtina by international pressure and thus as a great victory for Serbia. The rest of the world will undoubtedly not object to how you present agreement to yourselves, and move on.
(Amer, 14 April 2013 20:28)

But still the others might have a role to play... Thaci will come out and say that the agreement was not ideal and Kurti will stage a protest to accuse Thaci for treason. Since Serbs consider as good everything that Albanians consider bad, Serbs will immediately accept Ivica's agreement and this forums will rejoice for the Serbs great victory :)

I would sugest that agreement should be put on the table with a new
agreement that will have a period of 5 year of adaptation untill
Ahtisary proposal is accepted as it is, so both sides should sign.
in mean time Serbian side should be satisfied and Albenian side should
be satisfied that after 5 year perhaps borders would be irelevant and
time will show that progress on both side would be better than
stagnation and poverty.
Be happy and dont' warry

The US has given the Albanians all of Serbia's province as a free gift.

Why should they give anything back?

Who will support Serbia on this?

Our compromise is within the Ahtisaari-plan, we changed our flag, our anthem has no lyrics, our constitution gives K-Serbs the best possible minority rights in Europe, yet you expect from us to make further compromises? Tell us what compromise have you guys done lately?

Sorry we Kosovars don't. I hope they fail again to reach an agreement.
Sooner or later we will get north under our control, Serbia is about to go bankrupt it's about the time

“I think the most important message is that Serbia wants to solve problems and that it does not have time to wait,” the first deputy prime minister told reporters on Sunday.

I know you have no time to wait, since Serbia will be worst than Cyprus in no time. People will starve, even though they are starving already. YET, you pay millions of euros per year to handful of thugs in northern Mitro.

Just for your info,Thaci will not budge even an inch. So, forget the whole deal.
