Dave Goldstein said, "Joachim, as a Serb how did you pick up that German name? Just curious."

Gee, Mr. Goldstein, the name Joachim is Hebrew in origin.

Categorizing someone ethnically by their first name is ridiculous. If we were so ignorant to practice this, then "David Goldstein" should know the name Joachim is Hebrew in origin.

The BRICS are emerging, setting up their own version of the IMF and the US is losing influence with non aligned countrie
(marKo, 13 April 2013 17:44)
That is an idea, but one that probably will never come to fruition, why?
While China and Russia join together against the US, they are still not trusting in each other. There are many reservations as to becoming too entertwined. India does not really have the resources as of yet and Brazil and South Africa are emerging but not as fast. you probably have a couple decades before BRICS progresses into a true power source. Still there is NO indication that any of that will ever benefit Serbia which in 20 years will still be completely surrounded by the EU.

The only real political agreement that I can see happening in the foreseeable future is Serbia de facto accepting Kosovo's independence without recognition (like the same way East and West Germany accepted one another) in return for full de facto administration of Northern Kosovo by Belgrade.

Also there are so many non-political issues Kosovo and Serbia need to negotiate, such as co-operation in the event of a natural disaster or a pandemic disease in the region.

I'm a proper idiot, I've commented on the wrong article LOL. I was meant to comment on "Ivica Dačić “We can continue dialogue without mediator“". Serves me right for having too many tabs open. That comment looks rather out of place on this article.

Like any of the people on their list or yours is going to lose sleep over not getting a visa to enter Russia or that assets that they have in Russia will be frozen!
Most Americans have zero desire to go to Russia, thi only ones I know are students and most recently the families who went to adopt children that had been abandoned in the Russian orphanages because of disabilities(but that is over). And not many people that have enough money to invest in international adventures are foolish enough to put it in countries like Russia where corruption is so rampant through the banking and government system. For those people a quote comes to mind "A fool and their money are soon parted"
So the Russian reaction is just the actions of a sniveling kid on the school yard saying "I'll show you"

Obama's foriegn policy has been a failure, they have only lost friends and influence.

Using the no fly zone trick to oust Ghadaffi means that China and Russia won't let them try that one again. Arming thugs didn't get them any success in Libya as witnessed by the situation there now and the murdered diplomat.
The Situation with Iran is worse
They have less influence in middle eastern politics, even though they funded and backed the so called Arab spring
The situation with Pakistan is in the toilet
They have less influence in Iraq
Everything they ask for gets a no with regards to Syria
No victory in sight in Afghanistan after a 12 year intervention, and the pull out will largely leave the country in the state it was before they went in.
Finally the Nor Kos are not going to give up their wmds because that didn't work out for Gaddafi or Saddam and as a result of their threats, the US is backing down on its naval exercises and missile tests to diffuse tensions.

The BRICS are emerging, setting up their own version of the IMF and the US is losing influence with non aligned countries.

Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Joe Biden and Obama are all completely inept when foreign policy is considered

If the US blacklist helps protect decent Russian citizens from being murdered, I am all for it.

The Russian response is childish.

Guantanamo is a bad example to the world however.
