An Institute for Mother and Child doctor was found in his office after he apparently attempted to commit suicide by stabbing himself with a knife.

(Joachim, 11 April 2013 20:00) Either he is a very poor doctor and very bad at suicide, or the fact that he did this and in a place where he would be found quickly tells us that this was a suicidal gesture or cry for attention, rather than a serious attempt.

Sounds strange to me:
Stabbing the right side of the stomach, under the ribs, gets you to the stomach, the liver or the gall and is not very likely to kill you.
A medical professor knows that!
