Vučić, foreign officials “discuss ways to improve EU offer”

Serbia called the EU's bluff and it looks like we are now in a better position. It looks like they have respect now and are prepared to negotiate.

God works in mysterious ways. Not getting a date may work in our favour. Trying to look on the bright side. If the us and Germans won't budge from their hard line stance, we must move on and formulate a new business model. Offshore banking centre anyone? Of course we must be as constructive and helpful with eu as we can, but they want us to give them Kosovo for 200m a year? No way Jose.the pre accession funds are drying up anyway.

Finally the reality... we have seen for years Little vuk visiting countries also in Eu that doesn't mean anything regarding ALL THE MAIN ISSUES..for example mine italy...now the harsh truth ..only 3-4 are important ...and Serbia has never search a good dialogue with them...Vuk a real disaster !

It is quite obvious that this agreement is not only needed in Serbia. It is needed in Kosovo and EU as well. Therefore Vucic was absolutely right not to let them blackmail Serbia.

Mr. Vucic is doing everything in his power to reach a fair agreement. Note the word fair. No more no less.

They are so silent now. I think that they are waiting to see if we are going to get the date. If we get it they will claim that it was partly their credit. If not, they will criticize Progressives and government for the failure. Good thing that people learn about their morality in time.

I think that Serbia will get better terms in the next EU offer. Nobody from EU expects refusal of previous one, but since it was nothing that blackmail in order to make Serbia recognize Kosovo, that was the right decision. Some agreement should be reached but only if both sides make some adjustments.

That is silly, they never got a date in the ten years they ruled, and they wouldn't have gotten a date now. Part of the reason why the EU shoves things down our throats is because the last government gulped everything up that the eu force fed them, and then thanked the EU for it.

It is quite obvious that this agreement is not only needed in Serbia. It is needed in Kosovo and EU as well. Therefore Vucic was absolutely right not to let them blackmail Serbia.

Sorry, but I fail to see why Kosovo would be so happy to help Serbia join the EU so that Serbia can be in a better position to cause trouble for Kosovo! As far as the EU goes, the most elegant way to prevent a failed state like Serbia joining the Union without having to say no, was to present Serbia an offer that was not acceptable to Serbia :)
