Govt. officially rejects proposed Kosovo deal

Once again the serbs shot themselves in the foot. They did not accept the Rambouillet agreement and the agreement was implemented. They did not accept the Vienna agreement and the agreement got implemented, now they are not accepting the Brussels agreement and the agreement will be implemented without Serbia being involved.
This is very sad. Fighting for something that is lost in 1999 does not make sense. Kosovo was lost and its not fair to waste more money for something that was already lost. Its really sad that the serbs still do not have a government brave enough to tell the truth to the people.
Enough with living in illusions. The more illsuions, the more time wasted.

I'm more interested on EU's stance then what Belgrade had to say; was I the only person who was confident that belgrade was going to reject the talks?

Great news! Thank you to the Serbian Orthodox Church who put some of these sellouts in line by telling them Kosovo is Serbia, and clearly put the fear of God into them.

Serbia is not fighting for Kosovo. The have customs agents on the border. Have some common sense if Serbs can't run their own affairs they will look to Belgrade as their government. If they dont they are likely to follow the thousands who have left rather Than live in Albanian run Kosovo. Serbia only wants Serbs to live in Kosovo and not cause more Refugees in Serbia. Serbs want self govenrment and Kosovo and us are saying no pristina Must run everything. So Serbs have nowhere to go because no one in the west believes that Serbs in kosovo actually don't want to live in an indepenent Kosovo and they're all being bribed by Belgrade. This part of your comment has some strange reasoning. The difference is that during the 80's Kosovo not only technically but also formally and really used to be part of Serbia. However, for some reasons that I will not elaborate now, that was insufficient and unsatisfactory for Serbia.
Now in 21'st century, 30 years after the 80's, you are satisfied with technical part only. Funny!

It's much better for serbs to have accepted the agreement then to let albanians impose a solution. this way serbs are going to keep leaving Kosovo and Serbia will keep being poor, corrupted and barbaric.

the strange thing here is that all sides are working opposite to their interests, and they are doing so for decades..
Serbia, for example. Instead of taking the load of regarding financing and managing paralell structures at Kosovo and putting the money in development of the country, we are still buying the much overpriced sense that Serbia is a player on the teritorry of Kosovo.
The smart thing is to acknowledge (not necessarily recognize) Kosovo, pull out its budget financed branches and leave Pristina to showcase its love towards Serbian population and determination to take care of them.
In that case, Serbian Government would offer land and housing in Serbia propper for anybody who wants to leave Kosovo, in exchange to property in Kosovo which would remain in Serbian run land fund.
But we are not the worst.
Kosovo for example, with its mafia lead parties and no other strategy than to separate itself to rest of Europe, those are the craziest dudes.
At least for our region, Europe is on the north and west. North and west of Kosovo, there is Serbia and nothing else.
If I was a Kosovo leader, I would fight my socks off to create foothold to Serbia proper and leave borders open, since that is the only way to secure flow of people, money, ideas, infrastructure, whatever..And we are stupid enough to offer them that and claim it our victory, just to recognize that Pristina would never accept it.

Serbs want self govenrment and Kosovo and us are saying no pristina Must run everything. So Serbs have nowhere to go because no one in the west believes that Serbs in kosovo actually don't want to live in an indepenent Kosovo and they're all being bribed by Belgrade. Serbia has completely let Kosovo go and has customs on the border but should not ignore he reality that they will be seen as the govenrment by north Kosovo serbs as there in the majority and Serbia is right next door !

The EU has never promised membership in the EU throughout all of this, only talks about membership. Imagine that, give up land for a promise of nothing more than consideration of membership, not membership itself.

If it took giving up Kosovo just for consideration, what would it take for actual membership? Would anyone buy a used car from Ashton? What would you pay Ashton for her to think about selling you a used car?

It is not unusual that reporters were allowed to attend the session, because the people of Serbia have been promised to be informed as soon as the Government makes their decision. And they are keeping that promise so far.

Serb leaders have no choice but to reject an order for capitulation. They should be praised for that.

2) If the Albanians are worried about couple of thousand Albanians in Presevo.. then the Serbs and Albanians should come up with a political agreement for both southern Serbs in Kosovo, and southern Serbs in Kosovo

This part of your comment has some strange reasoning. The difference is that during the 80's Kosovo not only technically but also formally and really used to be part of Serbia. However, for some reasons that I will not elaborate now, that was insufficient and unsatisfactory for Serbia.
Now in 21'st century, 30 years after the 80's, you are satisfied with technical part only. Funny!

I guess Serbia will have to wait to enter EU with Kosova at the same time. Just like Germany wants. Next dialogue will most likely be in Washington in the United States of Albania!

Great news! Thank you to the Serbian Orthodox Church who put some of these sellouts in line by telling them Kosovo is Serbia, and clearly put the fear of God into them.
As anyone can see on here, all the albanian trolls who pollute this site daily are very, very upset :). Kosovo is Serbia, the German diktats and ultimatums have failed, and we are getting closer and closer to our true friend, cousin. and protector, Russia. Yes, this is a good day indeed.

It's funny that Albanians complain about Serbia's rejection of proposal and at the same time try to suggest that Serbia loses in this and Kosovo benefits. It's clear that Serbia's rejection was a big blow to Albanians. What "azir" writes is the best proof of this. In his desperation he suggests violent acts against Serbia. If Prishtina wants and needs a deal, they must appear with a compromizing attitude.

As a member of the Czech civic group "Friends of Serbs in Kosovo" (www.kosovoonline.cz) I have to protest against the terrorist statements and threats made by Mr. Thaci. Once a terrorist, always a terrorist.

the strange thing here is that all sides are working opposite to their interests, and they are doing so for decades..
Serbia, for example. Instead of taking the load of regarding financing and managing paralell structures at Kosovo and putting the money in development of the country, we are still buying the much overpriced sense that Serbia is a player on the teritorry of Kosovo.
The smart thing is to acknowledge (not necessarily recognize) Kosovo, pull out its budget financed branches and leave Pristina to showcase its love towards Serbian population and determination to take care of them.
In that case, Serbian Government would offer land and housing in Serbia propper for anybody who wants to leave Kosovo, in exchange to property in Kosovo which would remain in Serbian run land fund.
But we are not the worst.
Kosovo for example, with its mafia lead parties and no other strategy than to separate itself to rest of Europe, those are the craziest dudes.
At least for our region, Europe is on the north and west. North and west of Kosovo, there is Serbia and nothing else.
If I was a Kosovo leader, I would fight my socks off to create foothold to Serbia proper and leave borders open, since that is the only way to secure flow of people, money, ideas, infrastructure, whatever..And we are stupid enough to offer them that and claim it our victory, just to recognize that Pristina would never accept it.
Just glad to see that we are not the stupitest bastaads arround.

i thank god for today if serbia accepted the agreement nothing would change in serbia tomorrow. It is in not accepting the agreement in the face of blackmail, pressure and lies of the EU so they can clean up the mess they started in the balkans that Serbia gains its respect and dignity.
