Last you say America kills in the name of democracy, in what name did Serbia do all the killing in the 90's?

The American,
Curious first why you use the name when apparently you abhor anything associated with it.
Next exactly what average Serbs are being punished by the Hague.

The USA is behind the forming of the Hague tribunural, yet America refuses to accept american soilders being tried there.
(The American, 7 April 2013 21:43)

Just a small correction that it was Russia behind the forming of ICTY since, according to Vuk's UN documents, it was Russia that proposed it, approved its creation and has approved and continues to approve all of its judges.

As for the American soldiers being tried there, just a reminder that ICTY has jurisdiction on crimes committed in the former-Yugoslavia only and, certainly, if any American soldier is indicted by ICTY for crimes committed in Yugoslavia, they are going to be handed over to the ICTY. America can't refuse something that has not been asked about.

"Jeremić pointed out that everything that would be said at the debate would be filed as an official UN document that would be forwarded to all member states"

Nice... what would be the file number? A/CONF.14645/PV.453898... I dying of curiosity to read it :)

I doubt anyone, not even the serbs, are denying their part in the Balkan wars. Serbias guilt should not mean there is a green light to missuse international law and to punish every serbs for the crimes of a few. The USA is behind the forming of the Hague tribunural, yet America refuses to accept american soilders being tried there. If it's a just court why fear for your own? In a war horrible things take place. Just yesterday american bombs killed 11 afghan children. Who should be punished for that? The average american? It's acceptabel because America kills people in the name of democracy. Domestic and international issues are turned and twisted to fit the powerful and wealthy. Helping the poor and the weak has nothing to do with it.

Finally, there he is... he never disappoints. I started to get worried that there was some genuine interest on this debate after not seeing Vuk in his almost weekly appearance about the enourmous pressure being addressed at him and his herculean resistance and heroic triumph over them.

The Hague tribunal never did have any credibility! Show the whole world what has happened to the hundreds of thousands Serb people run out of Croatia! The tribunal should be on trial!!

If this debate is to have a modicum of respectability about it, it must not simply be an attempt to re-try cases that have already been concluded (including appeals) but whose outcome was not to the liking of the UNGA Chairperson; for example the generals involved in Operation Storm. It must be about the way in which such tribunals carry out their work so that any conclusions can be used to ensure that future tribunals and the ICC/ICJ work more efficiently. Mud slinging and a pantomime style 'oh yes he is, oh no he isn't' slanging match will justify the stance of those who are boycotting the debate.

responsibility of those responsible for the expulsion of a quarter of a million people from their homes, which nobody, not even the Tribunal, disputes,” he stressed.

Forgot to mention 1 mil K-Albanians expelled from their homes and made them take shelter to three neighboring countries, such as; Albania,Montenegro and Macedonia.
Good luck with your debate Vucke.

I absolutely love what Vuk is doing here. Not just becauses of Serbia but because of all the large world powers that act without a chance of ever being punished. Those are the one's deserving punishment. This tribunal is a sham. It only punishes the weaker sides and ignores the crimes of the powerful states.
