Ian,I believe the EU cares, Russia isn't trying to enter the union, Croatia is.
(Robert1899, 7 April 2013 00:27)

And when the EU's military sanctions are not renewed in May, EU states will most probably be sending arms to Syria as well.

Do you seem to think that Croatia will not be allowed to join the EU in July for sending arms to Syria? I wouldn't be surprised if Croatia is following orders from EU states to send arms to Syria.

The weapons are showing up in FSA videos and pictures, and the Syrian Arab Army mentions them in their reports. For example today Syria 24 English says:
"SyrPer has learned of an operation near Saraaqeb in Idlib Governorate that resulted in the complete destruction of a rat convoy of vans, flatbed trucks mounted with Croatian heavy machine guns and over 30 motorcycles."
"#Kafr Rouma: #SAA destroyed 3 missile launchers and 3 flatbeds mounted with 23mm machine guns of #Croatian provenance."

Ian said, "Who cares if Croatia exported weapons to Syria? Russia has been exporting weapons to Assad's foreign imported terrorists in Syria for ages!"

A child justifies bad behavior by pointing to other bad behavior.

Most principled adults do care, and most principled adults would speak out against both Russia and Croatia's actions.

The multi-billion dollar arms trade is a global curse that fuels conflicts and visits misery and death on the lives of the innocent.

The weapons did not go only to Syrian rebels, they went also to most radical jihadist groups linked to al-Qaeda.

The below video posted by the jihadist group Ahrar al-Sham, a collection of various smaller groups based in the north of Syria, mainly around Idlib, Aleppo, and Hama, and not part of the Free Syrian Army, demonstrates that the Yugoslavian weapons – supplied via Croatia – being provided to FSA have now begun to reach the hands of jihadists. These include RBG-6 40mm grenade launcher , the M79 Osa rocket launcher, M79 rocket pods, Yugoslav-made recoilless gun, as well as other assault rifles, grenade launchers, machine guns, mortars and shoulder-fired rockets for use against tanks and armored vehicles.

Yes that is right, but the final destination for these weapons is Syria. The AL-Qaida network and organizations like CIA get the weapons from other countries to the rebels/terrorists in Syria to fight against the legitimate elected government of Syria...

Croatia has played the part of Jordan in its past when it passed Western arms into a country that was under a supposed arms embargo, BiH. They know how to play the game, and they are always a willing participant in doing the bidding of NATO's overlord, America. Ivo is not a dumb man; he knows exactly where those weapons are going after they enter Jordan.

They also armed Afghanistan with 'surplus' ak47s. And other countries no doubt.

Somone's desperetly trying to hide evidence of warcrimes ;)

I thought the Kingdom of Jordan purchased it's weapons from the USA. I wonder why Jordan would need croatian weapons. Good cover Ivo.

Ivi, Ivo have you no self respect? You are a terrible liar and a puppet for the west. You sound as bad as your fellow Croat Lenard.

The New York Times and Croatia’s daily newspaper Jutarnji List reported that for the past four months 75 planes flew out from Zagreb Airport with over 3,000 tons of weapons and ammunition illegally flown to Syria. Also included were weapons from other European countries including the UK. The weapons were organized by the United States of America.

The planes were initially owned and operated by Turkish Airlines then Jordanian International Air Cargo took over the flights.

The article goes on to say...

"What Britain may be guilty of here, is cynically – and illegally, trying to side-stepping the EU embargo on arms into Syria by using the fledgling EU state of Croatia as their delivery mechanism, because Croatia does not officially join the EU until July 1, and has not implemented any binding EU legislation. This flagrant violation of both EU and international law should mean that Croatia’s entrance into the EU could be appealed by other members states willing to raise an objection, with what are now clear grounds to mount a legal challenge against Croatia."

Ya 75 plane loads on those huge Antov cargo planes but nobody asked why Jordan needed so many weapons. More then enough to equip 3 to 4 times then the hole Jordanian army all paid by Saudi Arabia. Then again nobody said politicians/bureaucrats are the brightest people.
