As I said to your and your fellow Albanians before Tachi the Thug should let the west know Kosovo’s little economic secret.

Why under the Thug’s regime unemployment fell from an official “45% to now 40”. He has to tell Merkel very soon so EU can stop giving the Thug 99% of his budget LOl, LOL, LOL.

Who is 'our'? You surely don't mean the ordinary citizen in Kosovo, the poorest place in Europe, where a huge percentage of people doesn't have more than 1-2€/day.
(Comm. Parrisson, 7 April 2013 16:17)

Well the poorest place in Europe is Moldova. In any case, Kosovo, a country for 5 years only, has already achieved a GDP (PPP) per capita of 2/3 of Serbia's which has been a country for 200 years. Not to mention that Kosovo is much better than certain BRICS country which Serbia aspires to join (like India where the GDP (PPP) per capita is half of Kosovo's) and Kosovo does better than almost half of the world countries.

Anyway, I'm sure that Kosovo really appreciates the concern that many Serbs express for Kosovo's well being now that it is independent (it didn't use to happen when Kosovo was under Serbia)...

YOu muse mean all the dozens of clans and 1000s of criminals in Kosovo who benefit from the situation, may it be the wannabe 'politicians' who fake elections and abuse state and donor money, or the various mafia clans who turned Kosovo into Europe's main drug hub and who now are happy to have a base to do their 'business' without being bothered by police and justice, like in real states.

"“We backed the resolution of the UN which approved the mediating efforts,” the Russian minister said and added that the resolution that defined the parameters of the talks stated that ultimatums were unacceptable"

If Sergey had read the text of the resolution before raising his hand to approve it on 10 June 1999, he would have noticed that the resolution states nowhere "that ultimatums were unacceptable".

aside of the fact that you do not have to be "russophile" to agree with what Mr. Lavrov reportedly said,...
(Jovan, 6 April 2013 13:22)

"Strangely", Russophiles look away when it comes to points where Russia can really help, e.g. the gas price. Or when recently it got uncovered that Russia armed Slovenia with weapons during the Balkan War. Or when the Russians left Kosovo, or when they denied citizenship Kosovo Serbs, while old French actors can get it from Putin personally, or when they abandon Cyprus, etc., etc. So many areas where Russia could help, but does not.

Furthermore, this is not about Russia, nor it is about blackmailing or pressure. Serbia wants to join the club? Then fulfill the criteria or withdraw. What's so difficult to understand? Why this cry-cry-baby-whine? Nobody forces you to join, right?

Shqiptar

Of course Russia would say that. They're desperately trying to find a European ally to do the dirty work for them in their frictions with the EU. They would love to pull Serbia away from the EU and bring them under their warm wings :)

dudes, you should pray for a "yes" AND in that case, for the serbian poeple to remain passive, because if not, you chances for an improvement of your living conditions are gone.

Screw you and your living conditions! Our living conditions are excellent, compared to 20 years ago! And we will improve & surpass Serbia's living standards very soon! But first, your Serbia is long overdue for some Balkan style payback, 10 fold!
So, you won't never hear a true Albanian state, that he hopes Serbia will give a yes! But the cowards that I know you are, your leaders might just say yes? Little bitc...!

Nice to see that your desperation has not changed in over a decade, with all your wizard wishful thinking, and the myths that have kept you to a peasant mentality.

Tell me Jovan, do you find it harder to find other Serb friends these days? After all there are only about 200 ultra nationalists left of your kind in Serbia.

The Serbs should finally realize that they can't force their own conditions on the EU, which works like a club. Every club has its own rules and regulations, what you have to accept or stay away.

John

pre 11 godina

It is up to the EU member states to decide who they admit and who not. If they think that Serbia did not fulfill the criteria, then it is their right to deny access. This is no ultimatum, since nobody asks from Serbia anything to do and EU membership is not forced upon Serbia. If Serbia does not like it, then simply withdraw EU application. Why you are not doing this, my Serbs? You can join Russia. They will not set up such criteria. Nobody could stop you. What are you waiting for? Huh? Oh wait, the Russian gas price is much higher than in Austria? How is this possible, my Russophiles?

just wondering

pre 11 godina

Wander if anyone other than the Russians have a copy of this resolution that are the basis of the mediating talks?
It is also great that russia believes that Helsinki applies here which is an agreement between states and not for internal disputes.
