Ha, ha, ha... I'm really flattered but I have to decline because there is only one genius in these forums and that's the CE of the B92 forums sj, who, btw, also happens to think that it is still 1999 and Kosovo has not moved an inch.

Anyway, Kosovo strongly supports you in the goal of not letting Serbia join the EU (whatever your reasons might be).

Many years ago a lecturer used to tell his students that you can’t legislate against stupidity and he was so right.
ICJ, I’m not flattering you – boys are you thick.

Yup, they would do a favor both to the EU (not having a failed state like Serbia in the Union) and Kosovo (not having Serbia causing trouble as an EU member)... Whether that would be good or not for Serb citizens, frankly, I could not care less.

Quiet everyone we have a genius at work here. The entire world is changing and this guy thinks its 1999.

And a common comment in Pristina in 25 years will be "I only hire housekeepers from Serbia, they are the best and work cheap"
(myabe you are right., 6 April 2013 16:21)

Gezz we are awash with Albanian intellectuals today. When these Albanians were allowed in Serbia proper to work their jobs were cutting wood and cleaning streets.
Maybe Thaci the Thug promises you housekeepers from Serbia, but he left Brussels with NOTHING and that’s even with the support of the United States. Let’s hear again what the Thug got, NOTHING. Mmm! I like that sound.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Serbia needs the EU in the short term and the EU needs Serbia in the long term. By leaving Serbia out, it will harm Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary Romania Bulgaria Albania Greece and Italy who all need regional stability and a trading partner. It will also limit the growth of the EU, and will lose its ability to influence Serbia, and as a result the EU will have one less country to influence while the rest of the world is trying to expand competing free trade zones. If Serbia is allowed into the EU, it will not improve the quality of life for the average citizen. This year Croatia will become a member yet support for it is less than 45% because the majority of Croats know that the neo liberal economic policies of the EU favor big business and don't care about the little guy. In Serbia, the EU will be less and less popular, and less and less important as Serbia is forced to stabilize the hard and slow way despite the EU instead of with the EU.

"I for one think Serbia should gain the EU just to wreak havoc" I think you are smoking something strong otherwise your self-importance would not be so much detached of reality. First of all you want to let believe that EU entrance depends only of you. Today's bitter reality: you can't even get a date to start negotiations. Secondly if IN THEORY you would become a member the yearly allowance you would receive from Brussels would become so vital for your budget that you would become the very last country to leave the union.

I know the answer the Serbs will give the EU. How do you say no in Russian?

Serbs never learn from the past.
If the would have accepted Rambuje angrement in 1999, Kosovo still will be part of Serbia, with some kind of Hong Kong status ore even less, while serbian army still would have been in serb populated towns.
If they would have accepted partition in 2003,they would have taken the North.
If they would have accepted Ahtisari Plan in 2008 they would have enjoyed a lot of rights today.
Every day goes by and Serbia gets worse offer.Serbs never know how to cut the losses. They think they are rulers of the region and still think that they run thinks in Kosovo.
With this kind of mentality of self glory and ahte towards nonserbs, which Serbian Orthodox Church and nationalists feed serbian people every day, they will end up with only the Vylajet of Belgrade in the end.

Accept the deal with Kosovo and move one.Next offer will be worst.
The deal will be better for everyone in the region, except the millioners in the North.

myabe you are right.

Coalition partners are in the front row for everything, except when it is necessary to bring crucial decisions. Since they don’t recognize their true obligations it looks like they studied politics from handbook “Politics for Dummies”.

I for one think Serbia should join the EU just to wreak havoc on it. Get in, make a massive mess and then leave the union trying to convince others who are "on the fence" to pull out with you. Then they sign HUGE contracts with the BRICS soon afterwards to make it that much sweeter. I think that would be the BEST F*** **U to these fat cats looking to take advantage of these smaller states. Think about it, in a few decades when reading about the collapse of the EU you will find out it was due to the skillfully executed plan of the Russian and Serbian secret service. We could pull it off... I mean after all, James Bond was based off the true story of a Serbian double agent in the second world war ;)

True. No one wants to cut “Gordian Knot”. So it is left to the leading political party to decide. I believe that Vucic will not let us down, as he didn’t so far

Naturally, it's up to SNS to make the final "breaktrough" - apart from them, there is no competent political option in Serbia at this moment. This is a hard decission, but they are capable of making it.

Vucic won't succumb to pressure. It can only backfire on the EU by alienating Serbian people further.Do note that while EU is threatning Serbia, Russia is supporting it.
