This makes sense. There should be a debate on dialogue with Prishtina. That way, the whole world would know the real standings of all political parties. And nobody will be able to criticize afterwards. Fair play is the name of the game.

“Decisions are not made only by the president and the government but by the Serbian parliament as well and MPs should have the final say,” the SNS whip stressed.

What about people? Surely a decision like this should be made in a referendum. The vote would be an overwhelming no to the agreement. Even if, and especially if EU membership was conditioned by the completion of these "negotiations". EUphoria in Serbia is pretty dead now. The yellow OTPOR-ista's that have been running the country for 12 years have campaigned on blind EU-enthusiasm and those people have failed Serbia miserably.

The SNS had (and still has if it ever grew a pair) the chance to be a modern EUroskeptic party in Serbia. This is an ideology that is gaining pace everywhere in Europe. EUskepticism is not only reserved for communists or xenophobes but those who believe in the nation state and national democracy.
