It seems like you have the same dream every single night! Where is UNMIK? I missed them since 2008. Has been 5 years now, and no UNMIK Police officer, customs or civilian official has walked into my store to buy anything. Where are they, that I don't see them!?

azir, Serbia is requesting autonomy in N. Kosovo, because Serbs are the majority there, nd do not accept Albanian governance. Kind of like Albanians rejecting Serbian rule in Kosovo. You speak of being careful what you ask for but, do you not think there will be trouble for Pristina if they try and impose Albanian rule in Northern Kosovo? Maybe Albanians should be careful what they demand? It may prove to be more than they bargained for, especially if KFOR stands by and simply watches, like they did in 2004, when Albanians went berserk.

Talks have finished. The Serbs have no choice but to turn to Russia. However, that may prove problematic for Serbia since Russia cares only for itself. Start devising Plan C, as in Capitulation, Serbia.

“Priština to decide on autonomy for Kosovo Serbs”

About as realistic a scenario as saying in 1999 "Belgrade to decide on autonomy for Kosovo Albanians". And considering the "state" Albanians now live in was designed, built, and given to them by outside powers, some mid-level US spokesperson suggesting Pristina has authority to decide on something it never had authority of legitimacy to do so in the past, I'd say this is just the latest attempt by the US to chime in on an issue they have no clue about :)

Why doesn't the Serb community in Southern Kosova also demand Autonomy?

Serbia must stop instigateing trouble by funding lawlessness in North Mitrovica.

What if Hungary did the same in Vojvodina or

Bosnia supporting Sanxhak or

Albania/Kosova supporting Presheva Valley?

BE VERY CAREFULL WHAT YOU DEMAND AND WISH FOR BECAUSE IT WILL COME BACK TO HAUNT YOU........

"Asked whether Belgrade had a role in resolving the issue relating to the position of Serbs in northern Kosovo, Nuland said that Washington saw a role for Serbia in making clear to Serb citizens, ethnic Serbs, that it was time to resolve these issues." In other words, the USA already had a solution for Kosovo back in 1999, it was to make Kosovo and independent Albanian state, and that's it. Serbia tried hard, through unsavory tactics, to maintain rule in Kosovo, but got bombed into surrender, and after that, really had no voice anymore. The Kosovo status issue is way too overdrawn. Serbia must accept its loss, explain to its citizens how and why, and move on. Belgrade should take whatever autonomy they can for the remaining Serbs in Kosovo, shake hands with the Albanians, and then focus on improving Serbia itself. No one is asking for BG to recognize Pristina's UDI at this point, and this will allow BG to save face with its citizens. Let's move on, serbia, you lost Kosovo decades ago, back when Tito was creating an Albanian Kosovo in his own vision for its future.

Why would Belgrade or the North Kosovo Serbs want autonomy for North Kosovo when it can be a fully intergrated part of Serbia?

I can understand giving the Serbian Communities and the Orthodox Church south of the Ibar cultural and economic autonomy in Kosovo, but why the North? That is de facto governed by Serbia and Serbia's institutions. I'm sure that Pristina will make this offer to the Church and the Serb communities south of the Ibar, but it won't be done for nothing; they'll want something in return.

We would like to see the US on the trajectory toward a balance of power in the world and not a dictatorship. We would like to see the US put to justice for all the war crimes and murders they commit all over the world on a daily basis.

Why don't you focus on giving some rights to Mexicans and Native Indians instead of treating them like absolute crap.

We would like to see your police brutality acts punished.

We would like the US stop using poor Indians in India as human experiments for huge American Pharmaceutical Companies in their drug research. We would like you to pay for the deaths and deformities you cause by testing on them without giving them any information on what is going on and then when they die you pack you and just leave without paying the consequences.

We would like world peace and this could start by the US cutting their military budget by at least 500 billion dollars a year.

We would like Washington to come to Kosovo & Serbia and clean up the depleted uranium they bombed us with.

After all this then you can come and give us your worthless opinion.

Its ok you can't blame the U.S. they have a lot more important things to worry about and therefore are not fully aware of what's going on in the region. Even Biden the supposed Balkan expert recently admitted he wasn't fully aware of what the 'negotiations' were looking like these days.

Anyway allow me to clarify. Pristina cannot decide on something it can never physically impose. They tried to impose their rule on the North in July 2011 and were faced with a resounding defeat. One of the ROSU terrorists were murdered for trying to instigate conflict, and the terrorists went back to the hole they crawled out of, defeated.

Mind you the Serbs did this without the help of their own state. True warriors those people are. They match the intensity of Israelis and Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh, they simply aren't having any of that sh*t

Unfortunately for you, the world is seeing the situation a bit differently, and people in Kosovo with a clear mind know, too, that Kosovo is an disputed territory like a dozens others in the world, and is not a state like 193 others in the world.

Vucic will agree to no blackmails, he's made that clear. With the failure of negotiations, the support for EU integrations will drop dramatically. We expected to gain something for EU, not just give and give.

“Priština to decide on autonomy for Kosovo Serbs”

What a beautiful title! Milosevic and whatever kings you idolize in your folklore would be turning over in their graves if they read it!

Power to the people! Power to Kosova!

Alexei, and what has Serbia given up so far? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

Name one example, please! Prove me wrong!

Talks have finished. The Serbs have no choice but to turn to Russia. However, that may prove problematic for Serbia since Russia cares only for itself. Start devising Plan C, as in Capitulation, Serbia.

Mind that Kosovo still is a Serbian province ruled by UN!
(Ron, 3 April 2013 16:59)

"Serbian land is not on flea market" Bugar, correct because it is already gone. Macedonian land however will be on soon and pretty cheap in today's depressed market.
