"South Stream construction isn't obstructed in Serbia"

What a waste their is pipe lines already delivering gas to Serbia from Russia. Russia will just play one pipe line off the other one country off the other and who gives better concessions. Pays better for the "privilege" of being KGB Putin Kremlin marionette on a string.

Serbia should just get on with it.. There seems to be sell outs to the West whom want this project to fail.

I bear in mind Bajatović’s comment that there are various speculations on South Stream and it is reportedly obvious that they, stating that it is infeasible, are wrong. It implies that he is seeking foreign and domestic support, feeling insecure due to the reports about the financial records in Srbijagas, issued by the republic audit institution. Though it is a pretty tepid response by the audit institution, there is irrefutable evidence that financial management did not abide by the law and made serious flaws in running business and Ministry of energy has got some clues. Mrs Zorana Mihajlović ,Minister is ready to step up scrutiny in the energy public sectors despite reluctance of the governmental coalition party SPS

One of the reasons for the pipeline is due to the major dispute between Ukraine and Russia on gas prices, in the middle of winter, just a few years ago. Serbia was cut off and had major problems. Since then it has built some gas storage units for insurance, but being less dependent on the Ukraine-Russia relationship would help Serbia be more secure.
