Danilo the difference is there is less binge drinking of the type people in western countries are used to. People generally don't go out to drink, be sick and don't remember what the hell happened the next day.
However, there is more longer term chronic drinking and probably more alcoholics than one might expect.

Also most drinking doesn't take place in overpriced cafics and 'pubs', but in homes and at parties.

You say that like it's a bad thing. Though, I'd prefer to shower in single malt scotch whiskey.

Maybe it's different outside of Belgrade.

YMMV, I guess.

Belgarde and Vojvidina are ok, but other parts of Serbia basically Serbs are drunk 24-7, even take showers with rakija.

Not sure what you mean, but I was being serious. There's way less binge/over drinking in Serbia, on average, than other places in europe I've travelled. Most people just have a few drinks when they go out, I have found, at least in Belgrade.

For a city of 2 million with bars every 100 meters open 24 hours, you really don't see people wandering around drunk after dark in Belgrade. My perception is that people don't really drink all that much, so this statistic surprises me. Maybe it's different outside of Belgrade.

YMMV, I guess.

Danilo said, "I'm surprised by this. I don't find Serbs to be big drinkers at all."

I don't know how much alcohol Serbs consume but your observations must be limited. I can't imagine people in Belgrade wanting to be in a social setting with you on a frequent basis. Your chronic negativity and dark outlook, expressed in your nasty comments, would ruin any party.
